I've tried this before but got nowhere..
I hope to have more luck this time.

I lost some music a long time ago. It was a whole CD with guitar-based, house like music, a lot of it played by actual musicians, not just produced in some DAW with samples and synths. The (nylon string?) guitar had centre stage. The only music I can find that comes near to it is Banda Sonora's "Guitarra G" (see below) but this music was even more like a proper band.

Do you know any music acts that make this sort of music? Maybe that will lead me in the right direction.

Bill Nelson?

The track you referenced does kind of remind me Klaus Schulzes Contemporary Works series though.

Edit: also some of the Pete Namlook's albums would sound like that. For example, his work with Wolfram Spyra and Karl Berger.
No signature here!

Just realised I have music by both. Not what I'm after but I can understand why you suggested them.
What I'm after is much more straight forward, almost jazzy, spanish guitar, but with beats. The guitar is constantly playing lead lines and there may even have been some sax etc.

How old the cd was (more or less)? Album or compilation? The songs had vocals or were they instrumentals?

Maybe something by Luis Salinas (or projects he was involved into) could be on the line of what you're looking for? "Es Vedra" from Louie Vega "Starring... XVIII" album should fit the description, but that's the only instrumental song of the album (which was released in 2016, so I think it's not what you're actually looking for; but please give it a listen anyway just to check if that's the general sound).

If actual musicians are involved, I would start looking into the catalogue of labels like Vega Records (but the label is focused mostly on soulful, vocal house) and on soulful/jazzy labels/acts.

Another song could be "Spanish Harlem" by "The Funk Ensemble", which was released years ago on Purple Music (again, it's a label devoted mainly to vocal house, I think this is one of the few instrumental-only releases).
free multisamples (last upd: 22th May 2021).

I'll have a look at that.

The CD must have been from about 2000 the latest, most likely 1999.

It was all instrumental. The music and the playing had centre stage, not the beats, so it was, first and foremost, a proper instrumentalists album.
