Softube Modular. I know, I know, this sounds shocking. There is nothing wrong with it, of course, it's fantastic and I was very enthusiastic about it in the beginning. But as a real modular it turned out too time-consuming and complicated for me and Softube has this high transfer fee that makes selling it pointless. I tell myself that maybe some day I will have the time to actually use it.
Another regret is Wusik Station 8. It's a principally interesting semi-modular, very rich and powerful, but even just the installation was annoyingly complicated and I never use it.

Uhh, did you sell it? How?EnGee wrote:IL Morphine! Sure I regret buying it, but in the end I could get rid of it![]()
No other regrets (I can sell most of them if I don't want them).

I sold my account which had it and another synth. Then I bought FLS and register it under a new accountIgro wrote:Uhh, did you sell it? How?EnGee wrote:IL Morphine! Sure I regret buying it, but in the end I could get rid of it![]()

I regret no synth.
But I regret a lot of sample libs, mainly because they take up so much space, difficult to move around, unlike plugs.

I see. I cannot do that, I've got Harmor and Drumaxx too and I like them. Morphine is like an anchor on my neck.EnGee wrote:I sold my account which had it and another synth. Also I regret buying Reaktor 5. Just in case anybody wants is cheap, it's in the marketplace right now.

I also regret buying three plugins from Lin Plugs. They were very discounted ($19 each) but I ended not using them at all (Alpha, Octopus and RMV). I did the same mistake recently by buying Circle2 and ended not using it. They are not bad at all, but I bought them because they were cheap not exactly because I liked them!
Now, I don't buy anything unless I "love" it! This is my solution for not regretting and to fight the GAS inside me

Hmm... While I regret everything I've ever done in one way or another (MWA bwa har hwa wha ha ha haaaaaaaaaaaargh).
I wouldn't single out any synth though over another.
Still have Ablino 3 installed. I think I bought it when it was Ablino 2. I think that was the first software synthesizer I bought. Hell, I even used it in my latest album (not much, just in the intro of the 2nd track, I think).
Can't use 'em all on everything. Though that gives me an idea... To try to use at least instance of every synth I have in a single song... Oh yes... Yes... (rubs hands together, possession by devil in 3... 2... 1...)

Just ignore it! I sold it very cheap that actually it didn't worth all the troubleIgro wrote:I see. I cannot do that, I've got Harmor and Drumaxx too and I like them. easy one for me. wusikstation 8.
half baked and primitive (or so it seems to me). the modulation matrix cant be edited, only deleted and redone, and the multi segment envelopes are a complete joke.
its like this thing was made to deliberately annoy me. will buy nothing else from that guy
oh, and maybe alchemy. i know it has some unique things that make it worth keeping, but that keyzone editing with its reversed note list...i mean really, what were they thinking

The Moog Modular in my den just takes up so much space, and is so hard to maintain. Along with the Yamaha CS-80 and Elka Synthex, its a wonder I don't just move it all to one of the (many) spare rooms in my Monaco villa.
A well-behaved signature.

Too many to count, so I'll use categories:
Plugin Bundles - They state they include all plugins.. and then next week they release another one and don't include it in the bundle, or update one of the bundle to the next version the next week and force you to pay AGAIN!
The Crappy 32s - 32bit blunders and gui mishaps should minimally release a non-gui version so we can focus on the sound rather than the infinitely small gui made with EyeCandy 1.0. Either a nongui (disable the window call) version, or wrapper with a better gui that I can easily see.
Skip You, Jerk - Developers will not give you a discount if you bought before or after a certain time. A major bird to their own customers. They get you into mean packing schemes, and strict conditions. Not customer friendly to say the least.
All Flash - Flashy gui, and that's all. They sell you no quality, all package.
Just to be contrast I'll give the perfect category:
Perfection - Product has: Quality sound, clean processing, optimized cpu, dedicated overall to a single function, ease of use, simple to look at, simple to understand, beautiful to look at and hear, program footprint small in size, scalable gui. Casual pricing, direct and clean packaging. Direct description of overall function and beneficial attributes, and detailed description version. Video, image, and audio examples. The price, buy now, Serial or no copy protection. Lifetime upgrades free.

SLH - Yes, I am a woman, deal with it.
