:scared:

Children dropped just as I started clubbing and going to raves and stuff. That track had a decent influence on my early EDM experimentation. It hasn't aged well, imo, but I'll always have a soft spot for it.

Robert Miles did two things:

- Made trance existing in mainstream
- Proved that trance can be beautiful and sophisticated

Back in 1996 neither of these was obvious, and trance was rather avant-garde genre.

Seen a lot of hate for that track in recent times. And while the beat dates it, it's still an evocative mix of...stuff :tu:

This is the same method MJ used when he was working on Anthony Marinelli's Thriller.

Yeah, not going to lie, I have a hilarious story about that track that I'm probably not going to share here and definitely not right now.

Robert Miles music and tracks from Antiloop are the kind of music that made me interested in trance and dance music in the first place. Robert Miles children is a classic.

I didn't realize it's Robert Miles too. Quite a popular pop song, after all.

RIP :(

Children was maybe the big hit, but the 23AM album is my personal favourite, a deep piece of electronic music.

Thinking about it, Children more or less created a genre of its own: Dream House. Goes to show the influence Miles had.

A legend and a creator/precursor of Dream Trance, which eventually had an invaluable inffluence in Trance and harder styles of Dance music.
Children: a classic that still makes me drop a tear.
