I'm not a musician, but I've designed sounds that others use to make music. http://soundcloud.com/obsidiananvil

Don't mean to offend..and my apologies if I've totally misunderstood things here..but don't existing customers get a free upgrade to v1.1? I mean, usually, other developers tend to offer free upgrades between major releases of their products..in this case between v1 and v.2
Obviously, you're more than entitled to sell this as you see fit..I was just kinda expecting all v1 upgrades to be included. Like I said, don't mean to offend by asking this..just wondering is all.

Sorry, I haven't been keeping up with this one. Is anyone using it to create their own custom instruments just for personal use?
What is the learning curve for a Kontakt developer beginner but long-time Kontakt user?

@ rigidaudio: Thanks for the swift reply..as always..and for not taking offense..much appreciated.
Yeah..just saw the update email in my inbox before I saw the notice of your reply here..made me feel like I'd "jumped the gun a little early" on this one..sorry..but I had to ask so as to know where I stood and if I needed to buy the new version or not.
@ Musical Gym: Yes and No..what you make with this little gem can be used for either personal use or sold to the public..but if you're thinking of selling the end result, then make sure you resect the copyright of others and don't use sounds from third party libraries already out there.
The software is real easy to use and the learning curve is pretty small, I've found..with the biggest challenge for me being is getting sounds right and the likes of background images and overall design to look "pro" enough to sell. I'm still working on those, but I'm hoping to have something worth selling on in the near future.

What do people who have been using this think of it?
Even if the piano player can't play, keep the party going.

Okay, good news:
We finally have OSX Sierra support!
KGM v1.1 is now Sierra-compatible.

It's great, a real time saver, there's no doubt about it. One of the cool thing you can do with it is use a pre-existing script you made yourself and ad functions/improve the design. For instance, you can look on the Kontakt forum for interesting scripts* that are not include with RGM, ad them in Kontakt and then load the project in KGM for further editing and design (i.e.: expand the background GUI, ad knobs/sliders, etc).mumpcake wrote:What do people who have been using this think of it?
Making fairly complex instrument is possible, but there is limitations:
* Can't edit multiple scripts at the same time using tabs.
* In v1 you can only work on one project at a time (I think it has been fixed in the latest version, I'll have to install it and look).
* You still need to have an understanding of Kontakt inner working if you want to optimize your instruments.
*that you have the right to use, public domain scripts, etc.
