I find it a little weird that his latest thing is to crowdfund libraries that had been available 10 years ago.
Even if the piano player can't play, keep the party going.

Really? I don't remember reading too many complaints about DiscoDSP.ravasb wrote:I think WilliamK has a great mind for synth programming, but not for business. Not too different from Discodsp.

The owner has, at least temporarily, vanished without a word.mumpcake wrote:Really? I don't remember reading too many complaints about DiscoDSP.ravasb wrote:I think WilliamK has a great mind for synth programming, but not for business. Not too different from Discodsp.

its pretty simple, because he didnt come through with the products he promised, and was shady about it to boot.Numanoid wrote:Sad how Wusik has got painted into a corner.
WusikStation7 is such a great product, why did it all go pear shaped after that?
in my case...i purchased group buy for a particular product...only to have that product cut down and most of its features rolled into a "new" product that i was expected to pay a second time for.
ill never send him another dime, fool me once...
very unfortunate since wusikstation is so good...i really do like it, but im not dealing with his shenanigans.

Well, there was that time last year when George updated DiscoveryPro, and removed the old version from the user account, meaning those that didn't upgrade didn't have access to download their product anymore.mumpcake wrote:Really? That pissed off a lot of users.

If he is soliciting money from customers over the Internet for products that are never delivered and retaining the customers' money, then that is wire fraud. The fact that he has transferred his money solicitations from KVR to a spam operation and crowdfunding sites makes no difference.jsp1979 wrote:There has definitely been more than one group buy with "Buy now and get <new product> or <new soundset> when it's finished (probably by March)" where the <new product> was never completed and, indeed, the idea completely abandoned.SODDI wrote:From an outsider... is Wusik actually "shipping" products they have collected money for?
A few new products that did actually get made were all but abandoned a month or so after release (with significant issues) to make way for a group buy for the newest new product (which may not be delivered).
Some users complain on KVR about it, and usually William tells them that life has been hard, that he'll be working at 100% from now on out, and he'll explain how they at least got a copy of Wusikstation 8 that is working well at a great price.
For example, see this thread from 14 months ago: viewtopic.php?f=7&t=455649
He'll disappear for a while, and then he'll appear, ready to start the next group buy to pre-fund a new product....which has a high probability of never seeing the light of day.
Why does he still have a KVR presence? It is simply not honest.
