I already have Sylenth1. I also have Spire...and Hive....and a Virus TI2. I have actually used all of them side by side in the same songs. Yes, I know that I'm doing it all wrong and I don't care. :wheee:

90's? no way... you won't find many traces of uk dubstep before 2005

in the late 90s you were either into techstep or garage - dubstep would have gotten you thrown off the decks imo haha, people going out were still into dancing and stuff.

I could not, would not, on a boat.
I will not, will not, with a goat.
I will not buy it in the rain.
I will not buy it on a train.
Not in the dark! Not in a tree!
Not in a car! You let me be!
I will not buy it in a box.
I will not buy it with a fox.
I will not buy it in a house.
I will not buy it with a mouse.
I will not buy it here or there.
I will not buy it anywhere!

in the uk specifically, some grime I guess, hard house, acid techno and whatnot, but still nothing anywhere near dubstep - it's just not a 90's thing at all, is my point.

Does the new update add significant functions?

I think it was rather a bug fix release.

Post

Yeah, it looks like main new update was at end march with v3.03 adding AAX support, banks and skins.

But I searched and couldn't find mush discussion about it, the last main thread about Sylenth1 appeared to be this one from last christmas.

No I wont ...

Post

I actually did, although i claimed i wouldn't. :) Used though, for a good price. Don't regret at all, nice synth.

Seeing the updates it has got this year, I feel a bit sad I didn't jump on the train when LD did the big sale at black friday last year.

Post

Indeed, great to see them back in business.

Almost bought Sylenth One for my first synth back when I wanted to make trance 6 or so years ago. Chances are, if I did not buy it then, I will not buy it today, seeing as I no longer care about trance or electro genres :hihi:

HW: Steinberg UR28M | Focal Alpha 50 | Fender Jazz Bass | Alesis VI25

There have not been new synth features in a long time, basically it is just bug fixes and optimizations as well as new OS versions and skins.
I wonder if there will ever be any new synth features as such. But even if not, no problem...
I assume there will be further optimizations (improved reverb algorithm etc.) rather than new features.
