So I did my listening, multiple listening, and voting.
I found no really bad track, each track has a meaning and
the average mix sound is good enough. Some are super good.
As many of your already said, we can't compare
the use of the synth this month.
So how can I vote? (I asked myself)

Choosing what I like, more than ever!
Minding rhythm and groove, melody (catchy or moving), harmony, arrangement,
and sounds choice. The more of those elements that I found
enjoyable the higher the vote.
Moreover I think I favoured tracks that are less that 5 minutes.

I put in the "4" bunch all tracks I really liked,
then in "3" those I liked a bit less.

For the "5" I upgraded three of tracks from "4",
(today I enjoyed those three more, tomorrow might be other three from the "4" bunch)

And to make the "2" group I moved some of tracks down from "3",
because they were less interesting to me.

And just two tracks down to "1" from "2", because they didn't sound very good to me.

Resuming:
5s : favourites among the best ones
4s : best
3s : good
2s : still good, but not a style or sound that excites me
1s : as 2s + some flaws

So that's the meaning I give to those numbers, I suggest to always use the full range from 1 to 5,
and let's avoid to attach to 1s and 2s any preposterous meaning of scorn or hate. I don't mean you do, maybe someone could.

After the results, if someone wanna chat about his entry, I'm happy to reply to any PM.

Many thanks for the comments on SC.

Very, very reasonable! I thought the same thing, though, part of the trouble is that one cannot exclude ones own song, but put it into 1, which then is almost an equivalent of zero, really, effectively.
It's a weird system.

Anyway, other than that, in the past at some point, I had done the same thing you're doing. It's nice to have one more nuance for voting.
It's funny how we're too weak to self-govern, isn't it. The sheet at the end revealed that every now and then. I saw what I've called "voting trolls", who would be counted in, though they obviously just tried to manipulate the outcome...as ridiculous as this is. I sometimes find this almost depressing to think how silly some of us can be. Don't we do this for each other? Must some people really be punished to restore hope for a sense of honor in a community? It's so strange to me. It's our game, isn't it?! And the only thing that really matters there, beyond our community spirit, is the music itself.
Anyway...nice system, Liqih! :tu:

@liqih
Thanks for sharing your voting system. I really appreciate it, to have some guidance to interpret your score. Now even if I have a '1' from you I will feel "OK - some flaws, and not your preferred kind of music - fair enough!".
I think your suggestion to us all to use the whole range of 1-5, because there is a whole range of different tracks and different factors to assess... without worrying about people being upset by a 1 or a 2... that is a healthy suggestion :)

For anyone who is interested, my scoring system this month was

5: Every aspect good, and something(s) excellent to my ears. Some months I reserve 5 for my very favorites, but not this time. This time, a 5 just means I thought it was outstanding one way or another.
4. Great music, produced well (some better than others imho, but all great)
3. Good qualities, and also some areas lacking, often (but not always) the mix
2. Good qualities but some problems too (imho) - timing, or mix, or composition
1. My track

I do find the voting hard, and I change my mind the more I listen, both up and down (though, more up)... so please take my scores with a pinch of salt and believe me when I say I have great respect and appreciation for every single one of you :)

Long live OSC :tu:

Very similar here!

I start with my arrow on level 3 then it is going up and down during the listening to the track. Near the end I have a clear idea where to put that track (according to the most level that my arrow spent on).

I really tried to be unbiased when scoring, so I did it once again (faster judgement), just to be sure that my first judgement is what I wanted. I did some few changes, but not that crucial really.

Comments and personal opinions on my track had zero influence on my judgement. But, my personal taste has a big influence. I have enjoyed listening to some great tracks there. Mixing was fine on most tracks. Few tracks seemed over compressed.
My comments on other tracks were 100% what I felt during the listening.

I really prefer that only the name of the song to be on the right side, so we listen to the track without knowing anything except that. I believe it helps a lot in being unbiased :) Then after giving the score, we can know the details and comment on the tracks during a second or a third listen :) Just my IMO of course!

Voted ...may shuffle a few tracks if I have time before the close.

Well done all. As diverse as ever and good to see some great experimental-ambient works this time as well

Voted. I don't know why I waited til the last minute to listen to 65 songs, but one thing I will say for you all is that EVERY track in this comp was more interesting that that Jason Bourne movie I watched to take a break from voting....

 Wasn't the Bourne Supremacy was it? I always felt the title gave that one away  :hihi:

Just to also point out I used 1-5 as well - a lot more emphasis on music I liked or was "in tune with" for this round as I am really not able to determine what was done on each synth without having to go through the same pain! So a "5" simply means I liked it better than "4" and a lot more than a "1". Other than that, no other nuances are involved! Good luck all, an interesting variety of music and sounds, some sounding better on a re-listen.
