Hi all,

What else can I say as a big THANK YOU! I am deeply honored and happy about this result!

Second let me congratulate Bzur, Carl, Aditya and Bluerobort for their top places

When I saw that we have another "any synth" round, I did not need to think about which synth I should use. Zebra is the only synth where I make some sounds from time to time beside the OSC. So I had a collection of sounds I was allways waiting to use them one time. But I did not use which genre. But right before this round I saw a wonderfull video from JunkieXL where he described the strings arangment for the Batman vs Superman film. This Video gave me the inspiration. And I wanted to give this track a hugh range of emotions, from clam begin to full attack, like you often have in movie trailer music. And I am so happy to see that it worked not only for me.
And I have to say thanx not only for the points I got, also for all the great comments I got on SC.

Prize: I will take no prize. I allready have all synth and soundsets I can use. So Bzur, you can pick everything!

I can see in the scoresheet that I gave you a 2. And I am confused about this.Because the track has a lot of variety and creativity. I do not listen to this genre beside OSC, so I cannot compare it to other productions. The mix is ok. So it should be a 3 or 4.

It realy looks like I did a mistake. Maye it happens because I did not listen to all tracks at once. I did it over several days. And the voting page had a problem I never noticed before. Every time I opened it, some of the tracks were back on the right side and I had to put them on the left side again. Maybe there happened the mistake. Because your track starts with a lot of noisy FX, which is honestly something I do not like so much. And so I maybe forgot that the tracks will change after this noisy begin to a much more creative content and I moved it too quickly to this low score.

Now I can only say SORRY. I promise to be more careful in future.

Thank you, Photonic. Next time I'll use fewer prominent effects and add more elements of more relatable genres.

There's a food-fight of content unrelated to OSC 98 flinging about. I might as well share my Wooten stories. Well Victor's are much more inspiring or even life-changing.

Well, PeterH should be thrown out, of course, because that is what I call "voting troll"! Should be something like: If somebody has -100% or less, it should be thrown out. But Peter there should certainly be banned.

And then there are those of us who have our personal voting trolls.

To who ever might be concerned...

I personally don't judge you, because I don't know you. Here's just some questions:
1.) Which rule did I break? Where's that rule stated?
2.) Who was harmed?
3.) Why is it trolling to come up with a voting scheme that clearly states my winner and neutralizes any other track because I don't care? Do I have to use patch courtesy here, to pretend that I can say which is 4 or 3 or other way around?
4.) Why is it trolling to try to fix a in my eyes broken voting scheme? I want to vote for my top places and not come up with a PhD style descripition of a inherently complicated/broken voting scheme, which is based on no less than gut feeling and which is not better or worse than any other voting scheme that is inside the rules?
5.) Are noobs have to obey to unwritten rules, that are made up by the closed circle of long time participants? What are those rules?
6.) Do you realy have had all knowledge 360 degree to find a objective judgement like you pretended to give here about me? Have you asked for an exlplanation before judging?
7.) Seems like you observe very closely who is giving you points and who not? Why? Should I try to find a interpretation for that behaviour?

Please, we don't need to discuss it here, all I give you is the questions and you just try to find the answers for yourself.

Hey, you know what? I think the whole idea of assigning "points" to music is stupid to begin with. This is all subjective crap.

And with that, I've said way too much on a subject that I no longer care on grain of sand about.

Farewell to the OSC. I'd like to say it was fun but it was anything but.

If you are trying to fix the scheme - which is an honorable thing to do and I'm sure many OSCers are open to exploring - my feeling is that it might be more effective to share your thoughts - as well as just vote the way you wish (which is up to you of course - and I am not complaining, personally). It's impossible to understand what other people are intending or meaning through their votes alone!

As in much of life, the very same action done with good communication - or done with no communication - can create very different results and responses in others It is easy to jump to conclusions and judgements when you don't know where the other person was coming from!
