It's funny how after all this time of being a member I have now suddenly been banned for not contributing. One of the reasons I have not posted much on the forum is because most of the people that post on the forum post in German and I don't Sprachen Deutsch. You would never get this hassle on KVR. What the hell is wrong with these people? Just be happy you got members.

I have just tried to log into music-society.net and found the words my account has been suspended. I was only on the forum yesterday and have been a member for quite a while but apparently it was for not contributing on the forum, and it said I had seven days to reply before my account is deleted. Well it seems that seven days don't apply because as soon as I tried to log in for a second time my Account was deleted.

Maybe they got a bot attack, and your account appeared like a bot one to them. Happened to me once in another forum. I'd contact tjhe webmaster, and ask him to either unban you, or let you create another account. Surely just something went wrong there.
Oh wait, just noticed that you wrote it was due to inactivity. Well, that's weird. In any case, i'd contact the webmaster. Although i'm not sure what the benefit of an account is, when you don't post anyway. Unless you only have access to the forum as a member.

Funny you should say that because I noticed some script appeared on the website when I was logged in the other day. It's not the first time I have noticed things wrong with the website like that. Maybe it's best to stay away from it as it seems to be prone to security issues. I'm usually fairly cautious about the forums I visit, and the links I click on. KVR is one of the few websites I visit that I completely trust to keep their website security up to date.chk071 wrote:Maybe they got a bot attack, and your account appeared like a bot one to them. Hi barrybitter,
I am a member of music-society.de too. I can understand your trouble but what you should bare in mind: this is run and maintained mostly by one guy, bam. He had hopes in someone helping with the administration but that (as far as I know and I am not involved in all this, only posting from time to time when I think there might be something intersting for the people there) had not worked. They are still looking for money to finance at least server space etc.
I had problem too after they changed the server, my old account just dont work anymore. Took some time to get it working again.
I am sure it is nothing personal but just something still going wrong cause of changing the server and trying to get things working again.
Of course it is your decision.
