@woodsdenis

CPU seems about the same to me, I have both versions installed apparently.
Pretty much neck & neck, running through the presets anyway. If there
is any difference, its not a dramatic one.

It sounds way more modern by sound and features compared to Echoboy and has a brighter overall character compared to Sandman pro. The 1.5 update just made it the most magnificent sounding tap delay to me, can't imagine if this will be included in Falcon one day.

They added diffusion and the phaser FX which is also present in Falcon, and they added more IRs for the convolution reverb (named color in Relayer). Also Relayer now has a mix parameter for the waveshaper. Sandman Pro is a different beast with the buffer freezing and downsampling so it's hard to compare, Echoboy is good for what it does but Relayer has more options and can create more timbres due to the effects.

Thank you, it's in sale at $79 at the moment and I've always been tempted. Maybe it's time.

Awesome update - seems to make Relayer something closer to an uber Replika

I gave some wrong information, they added a mix parameter in the Redux FX, not the wave-shaper and I also forgot to mention the new ducking feature.

UVI produces great plugins, threfore I wonder why they don't fix one small but irritating feature in the installation. I have asked them about that twice a year ago, but the support was not very communicative.

Namely, the Relayer trys to install automatically, without any options, the iLok Manager, although you had the recent version of the iLok Manager in your computer already.

Installer is "stupid" and doesn't recognize the installed product, nor ask if the user will have it.

This is not only unnecessary and takes time, but in some cases also may cause very bad side effects, e.g. if you will keep for some reason an older version of the manager, and the new version causes complications in your OS.

I cancel that part of the Relayer installation, hope the UVI will move here to more user friendly installer.

I just bought it and installed it. When the installation reach the part where Pace is supposed to be installed I just refuse it by clicking abort. You will at least have that option and It worked fine anyway. But I agree it's annoying. I also screwed up my iLok once due to this issue.

Yeah, as I said, that's what I did, but "aborting" is not an real option in my books. You never know i n beforehand what happens if you abort the installing procedure, will the product be installed at all etc.
I have several UVI products and am used to this, but for such a respected company this kind of flaw in the installer is a shame. :dog:

Well, I only have Falcon, Sweepmachine (my bonus) and Relayer on iLok and I don't mind all the 'custom's officers' obsessions as it's their job.
I haven't got any experience on the subject, but it may well be that UVI can't do much about this unnecessary installing, and that it is in fact an iLok procedure. As UVI only update/upgrade ever so many months, the iLok soft may indeed be outdated and may need updating too.
I don't really care. I wish it were not necessary, but don't blame UVI and cast an evil eye on the leeches, bloodsuckers and other parasites.

This said: Thanks UVI for this upgrade. Relayer sounded great with my guitar, and adding Phasor makes it even more inspiring. I still have to discover the rest.

Thanks for update, interesting.
Found small issue it seems- if set Diffusion Amount knob to 100% then diffusion bypassed, but decrease to about 98-99% then it works again. (Or feature maybe ?) Win7 64bit vst
About cpu usage - i compared, the same as in previous version.

Experimenting with a custom patch in UVI Relayer 1.5, using some Rhodes noodling as input source, played live on video, gets pretty bizarre occasionally, especially towards the end...
