I am sorry, that was a not a good idea (from me).
I'll fix this today.
Please add your VST plug-ins one by one until this is solved.
To be honest it is dangerous to open .dll files in the application. Other DAWs scan VST plug-ins in a separate process so that foreign code don't jeopardize the stability of the main application. This is not yet solved in RapidComposer.
Thanks for reporting this issue!

And welcome to this forum :)

Thanks.. I wasn't sure about the problem.. So far, my intended use of RC is orchestration mock up. I have a library of orchestral instruments that is organised into a separate vst's for each instrument which is working with RC so far. I use this library as a starting point, and swap it out with better samples when I start to complete it. (why i went for the scan directory option). Unless there are unknown memory leaks, I am not having any issues.

Not sure if it is bug, but..

I am using a Windows 10 machine (dell) and a dell keyboard. The default key stroke for splitting a phrase at the play back cursor did not work. I reset the key bind to the same key and this is what the program returns for that key... After setting the key bind, it works as intended. Now, the issue is, it should be a standard key board. But, it is a dell pc. Also notice the join phase binding I created right below the slash key binding..(it shows correctly)

Strange, it works the same way on my PC. I'll check this.
Split works here with both the original '\' and the redefined shortcut.

This bug is fixed now. The correct '\' character is shown from v3.23.
Thanks you for reporting it!

Also, just as a test, other keys do this too.. However, I only tested one other key.. the ] character returns a number as well. It may be worth the effort to test all the keys.

Post

You are absolutely right, I checked all keys. Thanks!

I didn't take the time to look if this was already known or not. so, my apologies.. but..

Melody generator, phrase set to 8 bars, (magic wand section), rhythm generator, manual editing, it is possible to play the rhythm preview many times before the last is finished playing. (Meaning, click it several times fast.. ) needs a panic stop, or, reset on click?

Post

Thanks for reporting this, I fixed it today. For a second press the preview is stopped.
I found a similar issue with the "Test Audio" button.

Thanks!

Phrase Editor..

Now, this could be just working as intended, but, it could also be construed as a bug too.. Depends on how you want to look at this one..

If you double click in the arrange view to edit a phase in the phrase editor, then click on the start from new button, then change your mind and hit CTRL-Z, you lose the ability to apply the change to the phrase and are forced to CTRL-C/CTRL-V. So, if you look at it as a bug issue, CTRL-Z doesn't return everything to a previous state.

From a work flow point of view, I think it would be preferred to have the CTL-Z restore everything?

Absolutely my pleasure.. :) There is another CTRL-Z issue in the composition window, but, I need to pin point it to describe it and reproduce it. Basically, it seems to go back in history to far, meaning, it undo's more than just the last action performed.

Post

I tried to catch all scenarios when the last state is not saved, I am sure there are still some operations that do not save the state...
Thanks :tu:

it would be useful just to have a simple undo that would just undo the last action. one could then click again as needed and it would step back through the changes. for broad undo'ing one could go to the History for that.
