I found out these and I'm wondering what others think...

I think some of these are quite usable! At least they work on samples I tried.

not sure, but i think they might be based on the open source MDA effects. which IMO are very good.

I saw these and thought "I have a million FX plugins, I don't need any more". "Oh well I'll install them on this system just for something to do but there's no way they'll make it onto my studio computer".
But you know what ? These are surprisingly nice little plugins. I like the Chorus, Delay, Phaser, Reverb and a few more. They do their jobs with little CPU demand and so far are quite stable. Simple, easy to use GUIs and most important nice sound.
Some of these might actually make it into the studio. Thanks Dead Duck !

Hi,
I'm the author of these plugins so first of all thanks for the kind words.
The effects are not based on the mda plugins, they were developed from scratch by me. They're actually based on a set of plugins that I wrote a couple of years ago while I was learning to develop VSTs in C++. A month or so ago I thought it would be nice to finally do something with them so I polished them up and released them as freeware in the form of the Dead Duck Effects Bundle.
The synth bundle was basically a side-project while I was finalising the effects, I though it would be nice to include a few instruments with the bundle and the mda synths were the easiest way of achieving that. Also, I learned a lot from the mda code in terms of how to structure a VST plugin when I was starting out so it makes a nice little 'thank you' note to give those synths a new lease of life.
Finally, if anyone wants to know more I've added some basic user guides to my blog explaining the less obvious aspects of some of the plugins.

Cheers,
Steve

Thanks for these Steve.
I have been looking around for good free VSTs for a friend who is just starting out and one thing I could not find was a nice free 64 bit channel strip, then you pop up out of nowhere with a great one!
Some of your other plugins have now replaced a few of my earlier choices too, the GUIs will be perfect for teaching the basics with.
