Which probably means a new release of Nuendo as well...
No announcement yet, but there is a teaser ad up on Steinberg's site. Then go here for latest evidence, and speculation.

motherf**ker, that was quick! Due reckon they will have sorted out the routing situation with this new release? If so, then Cubase will be the ultimate imo.

Dunno... read the thread I linked for more info... it'll get posted there first. We should probably see an official announcement within a couple of weeks, and details will be known then. Most people are in a lather over "time stretch" capabilities.tee boy wrote:motherf**ker, that was quick! Due reckon they will have sorted out the routing situation with this new release? If you read the rest of the thread...
I strongly doubt it would be coming out that quickly.

I didn't say anything about "coming out", I said "announced"! Reading comprehension....Robert Randolph wrote:If you read the rest of the thread...

Official response from steinberg. The rest is speculation as if I walk up and posted a thread about Logic 7 being announced (I hear someone say it on a forum!).Christian Dettner wrote:LOL, well - that is a residue of an error which occured some time ago.
A very emulous web dev @ Pinnacle was putting up HALion3 some time ago and thought everthing else should be on the same version number now.
While that has been corrected it seems it was not thoroughly enough - info passed on already.
Now get some sleep and forget about it.

I reeeeeeaaaallly don't want to get into a p---ing match with you, but the more recent info, at the bottom of that thread, from *multiple* sources (but not Steinberg), is that there is a new release of Cubase coming out. For instance, audiomidi.com is blowing out Cubase 2 SX. So it *might* not be a new Cubase release, you're right about that, but I think the likelihood is around 90%.Robert Randolph wrote:Speaking of reading comprehensionGreen Red Brownell wrote:I didn't say anything about "coming out", I said "announced"! I think you just didn't bother to read the thread. The top part of the thread is old, moldy info, for which I apologize. The bottom part has the relevant info, such as it is. More will be added daily, no doubt.
If you know anything about this business, you will know that official Steinberg people *must* issue denials right up until the day of the announcement. So, I don't put very much stock in that.
If not Cubase, what do you think the teaser is about? mLan???
Bottom line... we will know soon enough, eh??

So like I said. It was not announced, it's speculation. Official comment (which is what an announcement is), says no.Green Red Brownell wrote:I reeeeeeaaaallly don't want to get into a p---ing match with you, but the more recent info, at the bottom of that thread, from *multiple* sources (but not Steinberg), is that there is a new release of Cubase coming out. I dont doubt there will be an upgrade coming, perhaps soon. I do know there has been no announcement, and no indication it's "coming out soon" from steinberg.
