controlling FL studio patch from cubase SX

Hi. i hope that this is the right forum for this. if not - please tell me which one is.

I am trying to change the patch number of FL studio from within cubase.

Cubase controls START/STOP of FL, and I can see the different program names in the MIDI channels, but nothing happens when I change parameters in the MIDI channels.

even when I delete all midi channels cubase still controls START/STOP of FL studio. How can I control it with a specific MIDI channel?
