Changing the MIDI Channel in ST 2 XL

I am very new to ST 2 XL and I must be missing something rather easy, but I am trying to change the MIDI channel associated to a PART in the MIX Window. I have read the manual and tried everything that I can think of and no success. My ultimate goal is to say have three PARTS on channel one.

When I load one of the Combi Patches that I downloaded from the Ik Multimedia site, there are several of them that have multiple PARTS assigned to channel one, but I cannot seem to change the channel number.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

you just have to click-drag up/down over the channel number.
