Majority? I'm not so sure of that. I'm on pc with no problems whatsoever, or if I have, I certainly don't know about them yet.
A software that's maturing very nicely. I hope I improve as well with age.
You should download the demo and go on a hunt for cpu spikes.

On PC it seems very stable! I have no idea about Mac (but seriously why would people choose S1 or Cubase over Logic?!).
Anyway, I have no problem at all with scanning, starting old/new projects or working in with it in general. I expect more people will be using S1 (with PC at least).

Using: Cubase Pro 15, Reason 13, Tascam US-4x4HR, MODX6, DM12D, LaunchKey 49, Yamaha guitar(Pacifica 612v) and bass (BB234) and some virtual instruments and synths.

I am running it on windows 7. I hope they release a fix really quick because I have a deadline coming upMuziksculp wrote:Video track works fine. It's just a black screen and it doesn't even follow the track while playing. I have tried everything from reloading the video to starting a new session with a different video but the video player is just not working.
Guys is anybody else having this issue. Can anyone she'd some light on this.
Are you on Mac or PC ?

If the issue is related to Windows 7, you might want to email Presonus Studio One Support, to see if they can fix it, I'm not sure if they are supporting Windows 7, I think you might be better upgrading to Windows 10 Pro , since it is what many developers are supporting these days. Windows 7 is not supported that much any more. I'm also due to upgrade to Windows 10 Pro from Windows 8.1 Pro , but so far all is working fine in Windows 8.1 Pro, so no rush to move to 10.achalyad wrote:I am running it on windows 7. Microsoft ended mainstream support for Windows 7 in 2015, but extended support won't end until January 2020 (after that it wont get security updates, so I really wouldn't recommend using it)....that said, support is being dropped by a lot of developers as to be honest there is no reason not to be on 10 given the free update....10 is actually pretty good
X32 and 24C mixers, S88MK3, Live + PUSH 3, Osmose, RedShift 6, Pro3, S4, Tempera, Syntakt, Digitone, OP1-F, OPXY, TR-1000, Eurorack, TD27 Drums, Guitars, Basses, Amps and of course lots of pedals!

Not that it matters, but I've been through all of this.
You had a bad experience with S1 a while back, you no longer use it. You won't buy it again.
We get it; we got it months ago, threads ago. It's obvious the experience has damaged you in some way, and the only way you think you can heal is to pop into every thread, appear on every page, and troll until it pits people having trouble v/s the ones not having trouble then cry foul about being called out for trolling.
You aren't a troll because you tried S1, it sucked for you, and you reviewed it as such.
You are a troll because you hit every single S1 thread, every single page posting and flaming, never adding any substance to any of the discussions.
I mean, if you have a real solution to a problem, some insight or experience you haven't shared ad infinitum already, or are actually trying to get help with using S1, then by all means please post, but otherwise you aren't adding anything of value to these threads by sowing a bunch of sh*t for no other reason than S1 made you sad a while back and you wish everyone would hate it so it'd go away.

Ontol:
It's you that is the troll.
In the beginning, I was VERY positive about my responses, as people have had MORE AND MORE PROBLEMS with the demo/update, it's increasingly clear it's not really ready for primetime.
But again, please keep harping on me like I'm the problem, it's what you do.

No one can recover from the ol' rubber/glue defense, it's a rock-solid move.
Well, I guess you should carry on then; only 45k more positive, helpful, and informative posts until you need to change your user ID again...

Question for studio one users. I'm surprised that presonus can come out with a lot of stuff for such a small company. I look at Native Instruments, and they aren't releasing stuff as fast or have so many products as presonus out. Is Presonus getting financing from a external investor?

Well, I had two problems yesterday:
1. Sonivox Big Bang doesn't receive midi msgs from my midi keys/pads ..etc. It sounds OK when I click on the GUI though. Anyway, it sometimes freezes S1
I tested it with Cubase and Reaper, and I didn't have such problems.
2. I needed to disable multi-core support in some Vsti, like LuSH 101 and Dune 2. Otherwise I have spikes in CPU.
From other side, all Native Instruments are working great
No problems with Reaktor 6 (latest blocks updates like blips ..etc), Battery 3/4 and other synths/effects. U-he products are also working great. I haven't tested yet some other instruments/effects yets, but the most important synths/effects for me are working great.
The CPU optimization is really great
I couldn't before running S1 with 128 block size buffer, while now I can even run Reaktor blocks with internal 88.2k sample rate (with Balanced power options) and with more than 5 tracks! That is a great achievement
Cubase is great also, but not without its problems! For example, Synclavier V is running great in S1 but it freezes Cubase (both the VST3 and VST2.4)! While enabling multi-core instruments in Cubase have a better results.
Mostly I will keep using the two (S1 and Cubase) as my main DAWs and my tracks will be divided between the two, which is fine by me
