From komplete 9 ultimate it is tempting. However it's the usual problem of knowing that this sale usually signals komplete 12 being not too far off. And much more important than content I think is a major update like a Kontakt 6. But the recent content would surely be nice to wait for as well like thrill and strummed acoustic 2. So if the next upgrade is important enough due to kontakt for example, then upgrading now is just throwing money away. Hmmmm....

No these sales do not signal that at all now because komplete 11 was released in august last year. K12 very likely will be next summer or autumn the least. There is usualy 2 year period before next komplete comes out.

I think you have a habit of holding off evealuate what you actually need from the package. I personaly think Strummed acoustics 2 and new thrills kontakt libraries are not worth a hassle and wount be of use so no need to wait for a year or two for new version of komplete and even longer to wait for a sale just to get hands on a product that was released 1 or more years ago that would a selftorture

Upgrade to Reaktor 6 for less than $50 looks pretty good. Thinking about waiting as I have 10U, but Una Corda demos sound nice.

I already have Komplete 9, and i want upgrade to Komplete ultimate 11, but i have heavocity Damage already,will i get another license for Damage when i upgrade, or it just don't work that way ?

Komplete is one license in your account. It activates everything in the bundle. So yea if you buy a version of komplete with damage in it? You wont need your extra damage license anymore and can sell it off no problem.

How do upgrades work? For example if I update from K9 to K11 and want to upgrade to Kontakt 6 will I have a redundant update in the future. For example when a K12 comes out, I'll already have Kontakt 6?

Komplete is one license in your account. It activates everything in the bundle. So yea if you buy a version of komplete with damage in it? You wont need your extra damage license anymore and can sell it off no problem.

Are you sure? I never accumulated extra licenses when I updated.
My products all have their own separate license code.

I already seeing in my account that Komplete 9 have separate serial number from Damage, so i assuming that is possible to sell damage separately and then upgrade to complete ultimate 11.

I assume that if you get a boxed version that once you register it that you can download everything rather than install from the included hard drive, yes?

What kind of hard drive does it ship on? If you can download after registering, can't you just reuse the hard-drive for something else?

It's a small 1.8" drive I think with KOMPLETE printed on the case. Not the fastest but way faster than the old DVDs.

I'll bow out after this one since the waters seem a bit muddy. My understanding is you need all elements of Komplete in order to upgrade to ultimate. If you sell off an item from Komplete it will no longer be complete for upgrade.

If you purchased it separately, then of course. Go to you license transfer page and initiate the transfer. You will get a transfer ID in your email.

I'm tempted to upgrade from Kontakt to Komplete purely for Una Corda and a few of the synths. I have no interest in the fx or half of the sample libraries, but Una Corda is beautiful.

yes this library is very interesting for me as well but having omnbisphere/keyscape i dunno if those consumed it already!
