Probably a setting will be required for which keys to forward to RapidComposer...

this sound as much work. i think do only check for space key if plugin send is enough. and when in later practice use more key find that need forward that can add too. but i notice only the space key.

it save lots time when space key in plugin work, because when have a plugin and click on main window plugin pop to back. maybe it is easy possible to change RC that there is a option that VST plugin windows can stay on front, so when click in RC something plugin window stay in front

How can I get RC to use short relative path names for the folder locations?

This should work right now. The current directory (".") is the RapidComposerV3 directory (not the executable path as you would expect) so any relative path should reference from that location. This is explained in the wiki:

It works, but be aware that the timeline must be in keyboard focus. If you click on the timeline, e.g. to position the playback cursor, the shortcuts will work. If you highlight "Global" next to a shortcut, it will work regardless of what is in keyboard focus.
These split commands belong to the Timeline.

There is another split (Split Selected Phrases At Playback Position) found under Workspace, should you need that.

Thank you so much , Yes, that's works now !! (I split a lot and was forced to use the 'Split at cursor').
Sorry, I didn't realize that the mouse pointers had to be in the Timeline line without the 'global' option (And I didn't know about the global option either ) !!

By the way, I think (but maybe I'm wrong), that a some functions (and very useful functions) are only available by using keyboard shortcuts. Would it be possible to have a right click/'Edit' section (with all type of splitting, for example) ?
Not a vital option, but it will maybe decrease the learning curve ?

RC still crashes to desktop sometimes while it is loading the custom phrases; this time it happened after I changed the custom phrases location while it was still loading from the previous location. After it crashed, the loading of phrases stopped working (even after restarts) until I finally clicked the text box on the custom phrase location and then pressed the enter key. After I did that, RC immediately began reading the custom phrases.

By the way, I notice sometimes that when I click a pivot to reveal phrases located down inside of a sub-branch of the phrase browser, all of the items in the sub-branch show up as selected:

Hi,

I'm using a lot the panic button (<esc> key) : My tracks send midi to my DAW. When I select a phrase, RC preview it (that's cool). But when I select another track, the note off doesn't seem to go to the right midi channel (one channel for each track).

So I use <esc> and that's work...but... when using <esc> key, the time selector go back to the beginning of the part/line, arggg ! I often works on multiple lines parts and loose the focus of what i'm working on .
Is it possible not to lose the time position when using the <esc> key ?

By the way, I thought of a feature ... : Would it be possible to have, in the transport bar (for example), two little arrows (left/right) to go to the precedent/next line ? That would mean that when I'm working on a line, I can go to the next line with a single click. And if it's the last line, I will go to the first line of the next part .
It would save me a lot of time (or is there already a keyboard shorcut for this ?).

I think I found something wrong with the guitar chords. They seem off when I try to do a ghost phrase, but then initially it was fine when separate. Also in the screenshot is the annoying rename bug, which by now you are aware of.

> select note editing mode
>select a note / Right click / try to change velocity --> it crashs RC

you are right, it reproducably crashes. I'll have a fix for it soon.
This bug was introduced in beta9.

Hi there

Transpose Variation / Octave section
if i am not mistaken seems there is a gaps between octave values ..
because when you move the slider result changes before the value number changes.

EDIT: also semitone has this issue (for example -12 gives two values: -12 and -13)
