Ultimate 10 to 11 with the summer sale is US$ 199.50, regular price is US$ 399.00

If you buy the update now, like I explained before, it will cost you US$ 199.50 (summer sale price)

Ulti 11 to Ulti 12 will be around 399$ regular price... [snip]
Ah, I see what you're saying. I read your post earlier in the thread kinda half arsed, and didn't actually "get" it. Thanks for taking the time to explain it again to the dunce... me ;)

Only other thing to consider for my situation is I only upgrade when it's 50% off, cause really, I don't need anything these days. This is all "nice to have" stuff.

Considering Ultimate to next Ultimate is around $399 every time ($200 during summer sale), I might hold off on going Ultimate and just get on K11 @ 99 for now, which gives me Reaktor6... hmmmm. As said before, buying any NI singles is just bad overall, which is the reason I don't want to just upgrade Reaktor.

Thanks again for that explanation.
My English isnt that great, my bad :hihi:

If you need Reaktor 6 (its a powerfull beast), go for it, I know you want it

Oh nono, my reading is half arsed ;) Sooooo tempted :hihi:

Yeah, I don't think so either. Hopefully spring, with Kontakt 6 - that's the one I'm waiting for really. Not much for me over K10U in K11U.

There will probably be a whole bunch of R6 updates in the marketplace pretty soon. I'm probably going to trade mine for something. As long as you have R5 from something you should be able to get R6 fairly cheaply. I'm pretty sure that there will be more than the usual number of updates because R6 was released in between Komplete versions so those of us who had to have it NOW did not wait.

Does anyone know what the crossgrade price is from Kontakt to Komplete now during the sale? Apparently there is an offer to upgrade some kontakt player libs to full kontakt, seems like a relatively good way to get on the komplete bandwagon.

If you log in to your NI-account you will see what prices you get.

It's the upgrade price, $199.50, it says so in the text.
This upgrade only works for users of KOMPLETE 11 SELECT, KOMPLETE KONTROL S-SERIES keyboards, MASCHINE 2 software (included with MASCHINE STUDIO, MASCHINE JAM, and new purchases of MASCHINE and MASCHINE MIKRO) or KONTAKT 1-5.
You won't be able to install and activate this version unless you own one of the required products listed above!

Not to go on a rant here, but all of you using windows... I urge you
to pay close attention to anything new you're installing from NI.
If you can, verify that all your NI software is not broken before you
go installing multiple gigabytes worth of content.

While their software is very good, their installation and maintenance systems
are the worst I've ever encountered. Once its broken, you cant do anything.
You cant install, un-install, update, modify... or anything. The service center/NA
might tell you that its broken and offer no solution what-so-ever (if you're lucky).
Otherwise it will just think everythings' fine, and simply fail to do anything.

In which case, you are screwed. You will have to use something like CC-cleaner
to obliterate all the registry entries to hopefully solve the problem. Unfortunately,
you really need something like MS Fixit (no longer available) that can clean your registry
"and" your software installation entries. Other than that, your pretty much looking
at reformatting to fix things.

Anyway, just a word of caution during this summer sale for you...
I just had to waste a bunch of time fixing multiple problems, and
found myself completely exasperated by it. So I thought, a friendly
reminder might be in order.

BTW: I have a copy of MS Fixit, so it was relatively easy for me. You
might not be so lucky.

Ah I was looking for a crossgrade option in The drop down... I think I'll pass this year, I'll stick to singles instead, pretty affordble in the 2nd hand market. I have R6 and FM8 thats the must haves for me, Massive will be a nice to have, other than that anything drum related would be nice but not my first choice.

Yea had that trouble before. But it's easy to find the entries in registry if you snoop a bit. What I found is you gotta delete entries in 3 places for native access to just f*ckin work like you'd expect but it can save your shit.

So fire up regedit and look in here...
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Installer\Products
Go to that folder. Hit ctrl+f and type in the name of the product you want to download and update, like let's say damage. You'll eventually find some entry with a product name string value of "Native Instruments Damage". That means you found it. It'll be inside a folder with a long name like 62C84538587BDD84CBFC6237CCD099D2, buncha numbers and letters. Delete just that folder. Boom. Product doesn't exist in windows anymore. But native access is still gonna be shitty so you gotta go to the other 2 places.

The 2 other places are kinda obvious...
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Native Instruments
and
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Native Instruments
Delete the product folders for whatever in those. Restart native access and it'll act like you never installed it. So now you can download and reinstall.
Yea I really f*cking wish ni wouldn't be so shitty at this. Just f*cking why...

My personal experience is that the service center is fine (never had any issues). Native Access on the other hand...

Well it basically trashed (= uninstalled) my entire installation of Komplete Ultimate for no apparent reason upon installing Native Access. It then failed to reinstall half the stuff that it had uninstalled. I had to manually uninstall (= from the control panel) the failing stuff before I could get it to install properly. And even after several hours of trying, NA steadfastedly refused to install Guitar Rig; it was permanently locked in demo mode.

The only way I could fix it was to uninstall Guitar Rig (for the umpteenth time) and resinstall it using the service center. NA doesn't even retain the downloaded files, so it would redownload the same file every time I tried to install it.

Absolutely terrible software, and there are a lot of people with similar stories to tell. Oh, and I got zero support from NI with this issue.

After doing the Komplete 11 upgrade (from 10) will I be able to upgrade Replika to Replika XT?

Post

I'm all over this. I have Komplete 8 and was going to upgrade to Komplete 11 Ultimate in September.
Anyone know when the sale ends and do they have a summer sale every year?

It ends 2nd July. They have big sales on spring or summer and black friday, but what get discounted seems a bit random. Sometimes it's upgrades, sometimes it's full komplete, sometimes it's the individual products. You might want to jump on it now as there's no guarantee the upgrades will be discounted next sale.
