Hey everyone

I was wondering if there was a sample managing or sample librarian software with a built-in audio search feature. Say, for instance, I have a sample file which 'sounded' like what I was looking for but didn't match the dynamic or timbral qualities required for the tune I'm working on. I could simply drag and drop the audio file into the audio search feature and the software would produce a list of files found on my hard drive, which are similar to the original sample in character, length, rhythm etc.

If such a software piece exists it would save me a lot of time browsing through samples, which somtimes entails me having to scroll through numerous sample libraries until by chance I found a sample that suits the intended purpose in the track I'm composing. I am already aware of the different pre-existing sample management programs available, however I want to ensure I invest in the correct one since they are rather expensive.

Thanks for reading and having a great day.

I doubt what you are asking for exists as choosing or making your own sounds for the palette of your song is part of the creative process.Nothing beats good file management and descriptive file naming.Be careful spending your money on specific software for this as most DAWS if not all have a search function.Have you tried Splice i like there model of file handling and searching https://splice.com/vip/risome
