Hmmm...not too much insanity in my musical career. Although, i played a reggae festival at an outdoor amphitheater back in the early 90s. It was an all-day affair with lots of partying before our set. Minutes before our set, I slipped on the grass trying to catch a frisbee, mangled my toe while tumbling down the hill. All I can recall from the gig is seeing the slow progression from red and a little swollen at the beginning to a grotesque black and purple golf ball-sized broken toe by the end of our set. It probably hurt like hell, but I don't recall feeling a damned thing for some odd reason.

How is that insane?
Well it was the first stadium gig I'd ever played. Maybe you're used to it and it seems normal but that whole experience felt pretty insane to me.

It took you 3 years to recover it seems.

"Oooh I dont know. Sounds a bit scary"
"It's not scary. You just lose a sense of who you are and all that sh!t"

I once got drop kicked in the side of the head by an audience member during a gig.

I didn’t even think we were THAT bad.

One time a band I played in with punk leanings was put on the bill with some blues rock bands by a well intentioned friend. Needless to say, we didn’t go down very well. When we got to the end of our set we went off stage, came through the side door to the auditorium and the 4 of us started chanting “encore”. We went back through the side door and onto the stage and the singer started: “Thank you, thank you - due to popular demand...” We made the bastards listen to our planned encore whether they wanted it or not...

are you sure it wasn't yourself? you can be a bit clumsy at times.
This is the same method MJ used when he was working on Anthony Marinelli's Thriller.

I tried the FL Studio demo once.
There are two kinds of people in the world. And you're not one of them.

Reminds me of a certain Scouse personality in the UK who was nothing like her TV persona, and could be very nasty and belittle technical staff in theaters. She was doing pantomime one year, and the sound guy caught her offstage bitching about someone - he didn’t have time to listen, so he recorded the prefade output for her mic to a cassette deck. Turned out that just after the bitching that she went to the bathroom and had a very loud and very liquid bowel movement. On the last day of the run (sic) he gave the cassette to someone to pipe through the dressing room PA so that everyone could hear her bitch, followed by her recorded bowel movement... :hihi:

Longer than that mate - this happened in 1998 and I'm still not over it! :)
