OK then so I made some music yesterday
https://soundcloud.com/kymeia/voluminous
just one plugin - Chromaphone 2 - one instance, one patch - not a lot of notes either (mostly exploring microtones and resonances between close tones)
I'm getting less and less into piling on the plugins, less clutter makes me focus on the small things - a whole universe is in there

Nice! I try to play as few notes as possible. Sometimes I play a note then take a short nap while it decays. I don't like rushing things.aMUSEd wrote:OK then so I made some music yesterday

Why use a Streichfett when you can use:
Tides (main oscillator)
Freez (for sample rate reduction that follows the pitch)
Disting (for delay)
Kermit ch.1 (LFO to turn the delay into chorus)
Ornament & Crime (envelope generation)
Synchrodyne (bandpass filter with aliasing)
Zlob Dual VCA
Valhalla Room (to drown it)
Noise is:
Warps (white noise)
Three Sisters (filter)
Kermit ch.2 (digital noise into filter Q because why not?)
Valhalla Ubermod (rrreeeevvvvveeeerrrbbbbbbbb)
Second synth voice is:
ArcSyn (Just ArcSyn. It gets plenty dirty and weird on its own.)
Barricade on the master.

I always post details about my setup when new track is published, but anyway:
Working on a new tune - pure trance with african theme. Used a lot of Djembe samples (from Ableton, Sonivox Cinematic Percussion, free loops) and Kalimba from Xpand. Wanted to use Vacuum Pro and Serum, but Serum turned out superior for almost any sound I needed. Also made awesome pad with Iris (it's a preset in fact).
Now that I have Trash 2, I use it pretty much on every track for saturation / distortion or dynamic EQ / multiband dynamics. Also VolumeShaper is great for rytmic sequences.

...various body parts and orifices (orifi?). Not all at the same time, I'm not that coordinated.
Gaslighting...is a form of mental abuse in which information is twisted or spun, selectively omitted to favor the abuser, or false information is presented with the intent of making victims doubt their own memory, perception, and sanity.

FL Studio Mobile 3.
I was playing around with the built-in synths and they're quite capable, but it's not obvious straight away what can modulate what and how you get it to do so. There are plenty of presets and everything is cheap to buy, but they're virtual analog synths only (plus a sample player and a drum sequencer) so far. It would be nice to see a wavetable synth as a paid add-on. It's a pretty capable DAW though it's missing some pretty obvious must-have features, such as real side-chaining, though it does have an Autoduck effect for trance and FB. But it has MIDI tracks, drum sequencer tracks, audio tracks, and effect tracks (aux sends of a sort), and can output MIDI and audio in several formats, and it can also sync your projects between any of the OSes it runs on. So I can start a project idea in FLSM3 on my phone, tablet, or Surface Pro 3 and port the almost-complete results to a grown-up DAW on my PC. Fun

Are you talking to me? I never gave anyone grief over EchoBoy, I'm pretty sure that I just said that it was too expensive, FOR ME! I got it on the Sweetwater sale though and I do like it. It is, however, my most expensive delay plugin even at the discounted price that I paid for it.incubus wrote:You mean the echoboy that you gave people grief over? Interesting.
It is, FWIW, still too expensive at the full price.
In fact, looking the thread in question, all I did was make a joke about already being a sinner.
I can count on one hand the number of plugins that I've purchased at retail and I have NEVER EVER paid retail for ANY plugin over $100 unless you count Uhe intro pricing.
