You don't need the Gobbler app I have never used it.
Go to your account page.
Scroll to bottom and click on My Downloads.

So how does this compare to Satin?
Does it give you more options or is it basically the same in that respect?

There's no luck involved, all the individual installers can be downloaded from the Softube website

Ok, I understand, a lot of people hates Gobbler, now let's speak about the plugin...

U-He's Satin has far more finer controls, not to mention creative portions like the analog tape delay and flange.

Some of the things Satin has in finer control compared to Tape:
  • Analog tape delay
  • Analog tape flange
  • Soft clip
  • Fine tune (and separate) control over hiss, asperity, wow & flutter, bias, gap width, and bump
  • Fine tune control over the encoder and decoder
  • Headroom control
The group function in Satin is pretty cool, too. That said, Satin rarely if never goes on sale and it's $50 USD more than Tape at Tape's current promo price...

Definitely subtle but it makes everything round to my ears and it can add some bite
in B Mode. More subtle than Slate but it can seriously saturate if one push it. At that price (around $67 at JRR or Everyplugin) it's a damn good deal. What a great for saturation plugs.

Been testing it out on some full mixes and it's quality is jaw dropping imo, so far I've found it can reduce harshness, tighten the bottom end, glue mixes together like nothing else I've heard.
Instabuy in my book.

I don't get it. If buy it from other shops than presonus, will it incorporate into MixFx? if I buy it from presonus, then I can use it ONLY in Studio One? What are the pros and cons buying it from Presonus or elsewhere? Thank you.

It's the same plugin no matter where you buy it from. However, the extra version (MixFX) only works in S1.

I doubt it has the sheen, zip, pizazz, fatness, fullness, and warmness of Slate Digital Virtual Tape Machine.

I try it just on full mix and I like it a lot.
Few controls but very smart ones (dry/wet, crosstalk...)
I found it easy to use and very gradual.
For the price is a must have even if you already own Nebula and J37 library from Tim Petherick.
I like them both.
Softube is more twickable and the workflow (and CPU usage) is way better.
And, for porno lovers, very nice GUI indeed :hihi:

supposedly Win8/10 only. Anyone here give it a shot with Win7?
