FX question in ST2LE

I'm a bit confused FX in ST2LE (although I think I only have ST1 sounds, I just got the Sonic Synth I group buy). Anyway...

The first fx slot is fixed (eq/comp) and editable.
The second slot is selectable and editable, this works.

The docs say the other three slots should be selectable, but there is no pull-down arrow. The docs show arrows on all slots.

This means I can only choose one effect (slot 2). Some sounds have fx in slots 2 and 3, but I can only change the one in slot 2. Is this correct? I can't add distortion to a pad that uses reverb?

Or would I need ST2 (not LE) for that?

Thanks for any help...

The other three slots are "playback only" in the ST2 LE. So, if the sound had that assigned originally then it will playback with all of the fx. You can turn it on and off.

One of the big values of ST2 full is full access to the effects which include a lot of models from AmpliTube and T-Racks, plus full access to Stretch paramters and then other things like import, multiple instances etc.

These are good reasons to upgrade but for using it as a sound module player with some editing control it is also a bargain and a good place to start depending on your needs.

OK, that makes sense.

I heard there was an intermediate level called ST2L, is that true? I wonder if there is a way short of ST2 full to get multiple intances?

By the way Squids, thanks for the group buy, it's a great deal, working great in Logic OSX!

Yes, L is exactly the same software as the full XL version. The only difference is it has 4 discs instead of 8. It will allow all of the same features of the full version.
