I need a simple VST host to create standalone environments that is free?

I need an x64 host that, ideally, will just load one plugin and show that plugin's U/I. It does not have to do any kind of fancy chaining or modulation. I thought that there was something like this, but I can't find it at the moment. If push comes to shove I'll just create a quick Max app, but that will be slow to load.

I guess what I'm looking for is something like SaviHost, but not for VSTis. I want to use it to create a standalone guitar rack. Minihost would be fine if it were 64 bit.

I could do a x64 compile of the JUCE host example?
Here is the 32-bit version:-

I wonder what I want in here
-my site is gone and music a mess

Thanks for the offer. I was thinking that there had to be something straightforward and simple out there. Fact is, it took less time than it did to do a few google searches to set something up in Max that gets the job done. Since I need it by tomorrow and it in no way needs to be general purpose, I'm just going to go with that.

Good question, I didn't try TBH, the website says specifically for VSTi and you would need the audio input routing for an effect.

It's worth answering in this thread if someone knows.

SAVIHost works with all VSTs - I use it to run my Windows audio through an EQ and it works perfectly.

Thanks for the verification, good to know!

SaviHost works, I used it, but now I use LiveProfessor 2, but that is not free.
LiveProfessor 1 has a free version but it seems one can not download it any longer

What are the advantages?

less frickle setting up chains, waay less confusing.
No doubt: Savihost works fine and gets the job done, but I find it very hard to understand and set up.

LiveProfessor 2 can be used like a daw. You set up a chain, insert plugins, replace plugins, move plugins etc...

LiveProfessorFree was about in the middle between Savi and LiveProfessor 2 in case of usability

I see. I don't need that for this. That's exactly what Magma does and I really like how it works. It's fast, lightweight, and since it can load itself you can setup really any degree of serial/parallel structures. It also has modulation features built in that work well.

That's all I need this for, to host Magma when I want to use it standalone.

I would definitely pay 10-$20 if someone could code TobyBear's Minihost to 64 bit. Oh and add the ability easily bring in effects. Savihost has been really unstable for me and isn't the cleanest solution.
Even I was offended by what I was going to put here.
Newest Release, retro EBM, Brute Opposition - Unity of Command, released Sept '22 bandcamp link

You mean to clone it? I don't believe that it's open source, no?
