Got a small problem with ST2LE and FL (oh, and I'm writing this from work so I can't also ask this in the FL forums but will be doing so next time I log on from home...).

After installing ST2LE, refreshing the plug-in list in FL causes FL to crash so badly that you can not even manually kill the process using the Task Manager. This also applies when FL as a VSTi.

I just want to check to see if this is a problem someone else has had and solved before I start following this up through IK and Image-line support.

Works great in EnergyXT. I'm really digging my shiny new Sonic Synth bundle. I can even feel some inspiration coming on :D

Had been using ST2LE inside FL Studio with no problem here. Though FLS's plug-in scanning was sometimes problematic to me. I usually have to reset FLS (warning: all custom settings will be lost) and do a re-scan.

On a somewhat related topic: I could probably figure this out on my own, but just to save me the 10 minutes: does anyone know how to get the multi-outs on ST2Le to go to different FLStudio mixer channels (already got the different MIDI Out channels going).

Copied from the FLS help file:

Multiple Outputs Support
FL Studio supports VSTi plugins with multiple outputs. In the plug-in window, click the down-arrow menu (upper left corner under the red plug-in icon). If the plugin supports multiple output, you will see "enable multiple outputs", select it. Now the first output will be set to whatever FX channel is initially assigned to that plug-in, and each successive FX track will contain the additional outs. For example, a plugin with 4 outputs assigned to FX track 10, takes tracks 10, 11, 12 and 13.

Actually, it's the plug-in scanning that's crashing. It seems to hang while trying to find the Sampletank DXi. I initially thought that it was because I had chosen not to install the DXi that was causing the problem, but installing it didn't change anything.

I guess I'll try resetting the FL settings again, and if that doesn't work I'll start checking this out with the respective support people.

Cheers for the help though.

In case anyone was wondering, it's now working fine. I ran the FL diagnostic tool to see if anything came. The tool seemed to freeze on the STLE DXi (again!) but after a while, moved on and scanned everything and turned up nothing. Funny thing is that when I then loaded up FL one last time to see what was going on, everything was functioning normally :o

I guess FL was just having problems recognising the dll, but now that it has looked at it properly, it's happy as a pig in, er... mud :D

Short story long, everything is fine and working as it should.
