Looks Moogy to me. OK bit more than a clone - sequencer, patch recall/save. At $500 vs Behringers' proposed $400 expect extended which is best debate.

And with Studio Electronics involved I'm expecting big things. Only heard a couple of YouTube demos so far, but already checking my bank account.

Audio over USB!

Sounds great. Funny that Roland had to work with a partner on a Moog inspired design to produce a new analogue synth. Sweetwater have it priced at $499. :phones:

Moog saturation right now.... where's the innovation?

Doesn't sound particularly Moogy though? At least to me. Sounds great though. ADS envelopes is a bit of a bummer.

No scatter or D-beam, I am dissapoint. :D

I'd say, it smokes the Ulimoog. The missing patch points are made up by (hopefully!) full MIDI Control. Patch points in the Behringer were for modulations only, apart from the external audio in, which the Roland has as well. The Roland has the better feature set, patch memory, built in sequencer and probably better build quality. At 100 bucks more, it's a no brainer.

I might even get excited over this...

384 patches, but just 128 are "user". Hopefully factory patches can be overwritten as well. I cannot for the life of me understand why Roland (and Yamaha too) still hold on to this antiquated method of patch management. Everything should be overwriteable!

That's nice Roland, a MiniMoog classic 3-oscillator monosynth clone...

Isn't this forum about software instruments?

My experience has been that anything that changes the value of a parameter behind a pot -- instead of an encoder with an LED ring for instance, showing where the current setting actually is -- is annoying to work with. It doesn't bother everybody, but I've sold otherwise decent synths and Eurorack modules for that.

This isn't really my kind of synth anyway, but it's good to be able to laugh at Behringer and have still further confirmation that we're in a new golden age of analog synths :) I'm curious to see what else shows up in this "Boutique Designer" line in the future.

On the fifth photo I noticed that the module is only 2 octaves of what looks like mini keys wide
