Sorry if this is a basic question, but I can't get this to do anything. Should I run this on a midi track or audio track in Ableton? I tried it as an audio track with incoming audio from a midi track with a synth on it, and the dry comes through but wet gives me nothing. Is it automatically also getting my midi notes or just ignoring them? Must I use prerecorded audio or can I play a synth through Ribs in real time? Thanks in advance!

He's a Russian hacker directed by Putin himself. Don't trust his files! They are Virus meant to take control and spy on us! The Russians are coming! The Russians are coming! Just kidding. Hope you didn't buy that. Protect your precious bodily fluids. Dasvidonia.

Really interesting stuff! Cool design too, will take me a few hours to get my head around it but it's got a unique appeal, that's for sure.
Quick question number 1, is there any way to get very spaced out grains (sort of like negative grain overlap), e.g. a 10ms grain once every 200ms,with even spacing? It seems I can use the gaps parameter to probabilistically leave gaps between grains, but haven't found a way to get them evenly spaced at the moment. Would it be possible to either a.) allow the grain overlap control to go negative (up to a reasonably large factor) or b.) maybe a toggle switch so that gaps become evenly spaced/sequenced, rather than random with probability?
Even gaps between grains lends itself well to psychedelic zipping sounds, trippy exponential drum fills etc.
Having said that, the gaps feature is really cool and I'm getting some fascinating geiger counter-y but melodic sounds out of it!
Thanks for your work.

I managed to get some sounds out of it, but it's still rather confusing even with help activated (which I appreciate btw). So far however it seems like a very interesting granular synthesis plugin, and I'm patiently awaiting for those videos

So I'm trying to get this working in Ableton Live 8.
I've put Ribs on a midi channel which receives midi from a midi keyboard (m-audio oxygen 49) and I've put some pad samples on an audio track wich is routed to send audio to the track Ribs is on.
The thing is, when I click on the drop down menu for the inputs for Ribs, it only shows 3 options.
Input 3/input 4
Input 5/input 6
Input 7/input 8
And when I play the pad while playing a midi note into Ribs, Ribs' refill thing starts 'playing' but no waveform appears and no audio comes out.
What am I doing wrong?

without docs, I cannot say I understand even 75% of the controls, but this goodie feels like its gonna be a big part of my workflow once I can grok it ;]
Amazingly stable and inspiring piece of work!
Thanks so very much for this!
