Just very touching. Sounds like in the penultimate section they've heard the later renditions such as Tinseltown Rebellion, with the <out> treatment.rp314 wrote:Peaches
Hearing these very different arrangements seems to highlight the compos in an objective light.

From Mike Keneally, who's recently been playing in Joe Satriani's band and G4, and was once part of Frank's band for a short time in the late 80s, a version of a tune from Absolutely Free (1967).

Keneally is just ridiculous, a freak of nature. He was found to know virtually everything on any Zappa record when he joined for the 1988 band. FZ thought of doing 'Who Needs the Peace Corps' but did not know it anymore, but Keneally did.
I was digging some Keneally one day when I found he was one of the guitar players for Dethklok, the cartoon metal band. That is funny. I googled that and found on wiki he joined Joe Satriani for a tour same year as did my old bass player, Allen Whitman. Small world.
My girlfriend, only 13 but she knew how to nasty, had a copy of Mothermania, first I heard of Zappa, 1970. Leads off with Brown Shoes.

I actually found out he was with Satriani when I came across some PBS music segment in which Mike seemed to be mostly playing keyboards as well as occasionally switching to backup guitar (which at one point resulted in one of his synths falling off of the stand
