One of the best purchases I've made :D

PPG Wave 2.2 is gritty as heck, Attack is punchy as hell and can be found almost on all my tracks, and D-Pole has a sound that is one of it's kind.. Gritty as heck :D
May have "that vintage plugin feel and sound" but it's ok. Sounds great :tu:

(Note: this was in reference to Synplant)

I think the idea of Synplant is really cool and was able to get some very interesting sounds out of it. Every time I play with it I have fun. I think Magnus Lindstrom accomplished some incredible feats of programming and musical software design. I think the PO-32, which appears to have consumed him for quite a while, is a tremendous technical achievement but of limited utility to me. I (selfishly for sure) wish that he had put the time and energy into making Synplant 2, some new plugins, or a piece of hardware that is more advanced.

Oh well, I am selfish and want what I want. You can't always get what you want 8)

Waves products like Element and Codex.

They are pretty good it themselves, but the installation procedure is just a pain in the neck, for a FL Studio user.

Seems I am not able to use Codex as 64 bit, because the Waveshell VST2 version will not load into a channel in FL Studio.

Put yourself in their shoes. A major company wants to buy the music software you've written for say $10,000,000. Are you going to say "No thanks, I don't want to offend my user base"?
I would have taken the money too, I don't blame them at all.

My best buys were:
u-he synths
NI synths
Madrona Lab synths
I've never regretted buying them...

I have to agree, Ed. While I can see both sides of the argument, I can't help but wonder how many here who are upset with Camel Audio wouldn't do the exact same thing when offered a windfall of cash for his / her software. Maybe CA could have had a better solution for it's past customers though, but I imagine that wouldn't be up to CA. Considering this is Apple we're talking about, I'm guessing they didn't give Ben a whole lot of say in the matter.

The silver living with Camel Audio Alchemy is that it still works in Windows 10, so I expect to have several years of usage out of it still.

Thank goodness they future proofed it a bit, before running off :phew:

So many lovers of Alchemy here... And you know what? They're right!

G-Force's M-Tron - it would not work after Windows XP. Contacted G-Force's customer service - no answer, no upgrade path offered, nothing. A complete corporate dead end.

It was a plug-in of limited utility anyway. However, I would urge anyone considering buying anything from G-Force to choose the NO option.

For me it is Discovery Pro and Corona.. I could never gel with its sound.. I hate it.. and now that George is AWOL I am stuck with it... I wish I could get rid of it... :help:

I can't really say that I really regret buying some of the synths, but Elements from Waves must be on the top of my list. Is collecting digital dust here. It sound nice but it is eating my CPU for breakfast and therefore I didn't use it much. Some others I don't use much but still they are nice to have :D
Win 10 -64bit, CPU i7-7700K, 32Gb, Focusrite 2i2, FL-studio 20, Studio One 4, Reason 10
