Taron wrote:It's all good, I know, it's tough, but I still wish for this thread not to be derailed into the all too familiar "good bye, I'm too good for you" wag show. Man, you know I have a heart for everyone, really, and with all my heart I wish every one of us nothing but the best and that has always included you, too, wag, but even as you did understand that I'm your friend, you keep gnawing away on anybody's sympathy until there's just nothing left anymore.
You don't leave the OSC "in the dust", except possibly our memories of you once you've decided to truly focus on your personal welfare and just move on to more suitable things for yourself.
You also know me enough by now to understand that I wish for people to enjoy and indulge in their positive passions, celebrate their creativity and recognize the beauty of life, however it presents itself to them. Follow your heart, stop trying to find answers with your mind, because passion isn't at home there. Your mind will always betray you. It will argue with you and confuse you and you'll end up at the same spot over and over again. Free yourself, free your heart and move on to where you can move freely. It is not here, we all have at ample opportunity to come to that conclusion.
In your heart you may also find that this very OSC is not only a wonderful farewell occasion for you, but also something that is particularly dear to me and I'd love it to have this one end not about you, but about the OSC, LotS and everybody else. How's that? It would be very kind and full of dignity. I know you can make that choice and I, along with many of us here, send you off with the best wishes.
Sorry Taron. I was only responding to Peter's post. Had he not said anything, you wouldn't have heard another thing from me.

Peter, if you want to continue this conversation, let's take it somewhere else.

And with that Taron, I leave you to your thread and OSC and I'm sorry for my part in souring things for you.

I promise it won't happen again.

Thanks, wag, and thanks for your respectful reactions, even earlier. I've noticed it and appreciate it a lot!

Take care my friend!

Voted. Some unusual but nice entries.

That isn't what I said.

This was what I said.
I'm no good working with synths that have limited functionality.
I'm sorry Taron, but if they're going to poke the bear I'm going to poke back. I will NOT be a door mat for anybody here, especially not this asshole.

Pffff... trust me, I'm trying. You have to help us out, wag, try to just ignore, if something else is coming. In a way, anyone who thinks it's wise to keep teasing you just hurts themselves. Don't worry about it, please! Danged, well...I sincerely wished I'd be a moderator sometimes, pfff.

Im replying because Taron asked.

Wag take a chill pill and get a fire extinguisher for your panties.

Feel free to call me what you like if it makes you feel better, it means nothing, maybe you can learn from me hahaha

Voted.

Very interesting month. I was probably over-generous in scoring but there were just so many tracks I really really liked. And such variety of styles and composition. :phones:
LotS is definitely my favorite OSC synth I have gotten to participate with so far (even with all the issues I had with it). It has a very unique character.
Well done Taron.

Awww, man, thank you very, very much, Frostline. I can't tell you how much that means to me, especially knowing the challenges we've had, but I can tell you for sure that that's fantastically motivating! ... :wheee:  ...you've been a great help and you know it! :tu:

Just voted.

Such a huge variety of styles, it was hard to compare them.

Not voted yet, about half way through listening to all the tracks, but just got to say - wow, lots of nice tracks so far. LotS of talent on display

And so many fantastic sounds - amazing stuff going on...

Post

I agree, a lot of great sounds out there. Also, quite a variety of track "genres" for want of a better name. I also agree with others that this variety makes it very hard to judge the tracks against each other. Given that people have managed to squeeze some amazing sounds from LotS, I will have to note those who really made something different and also appealed to my musical psyche. So far I find I have lumped a lot together for different reasons with a few standout tracks. I know it's a little unfair to chuck lots into the same box, but as a first pass for this round, I find I can't do much else.

There's really a lot to commend on most of the tracks - I'm sure Taron would agree and I bet he's having a hard time voting as well!

Just had to say this - just in case anyone else is feeling the same.

Oh, I did vote, and I've enjoyed it quite a lot. There were songs in there that actually moved me. I'd imagine, it's because it's been my baby you've been using, but it really were those songs. It was difficult for me to put anyone down there, that's true, but as always, I've tried to make a reasonable, sensible call about which tracks resonated more with me, but also respect craftsmanship. Thus, I tried to vote as I always do. But, yeah, I was afraid it would be impossible for me, because I'd want all of you to get a 5 just for wrestling with my little beasty. :hihi:
