Extracting and Looping Single Cycle Waveforms in Logic’s Audio Editor

I posted this on the Sampler section of the forum this morning, but it probably belongs here:

I’m fine with extracting a single cycle waveform from an audio file in Logic (highlight it with zero crossings, then select trim). The problem comes when I try to accurately repeat it several times in the same file.

I should explain my reasons for doing this: in Absynth 5 you can import samples into its oscillators, but if you use just a single cycle, it doesn’t seem to work (even tough you’ve selected loop). But if you put in a few cycles, it does work (I’m guessing it uses some sort of crossfading, so it needs a certain length of sample).

So, in the logic audio editor, you select all, and copy. But when I try to manually try to position the selector to the end of the sample to paste the next cycle, I run into trouble due to the resolution that I’m working at. I’ve tried ‘Go to the end of selection’ and so forth, but no luck.

I’m sure there’s a simple way to do this? If someone can tell me what it is, I'd be very appreciative!
