My weekend hack: Write VST plugins in JavaScript

I have a special spot in my heart for JavaScript. Before I did this, I used to code a lot of websites, and JS was easy because it was like a retarded, typeless, C++, which I already knew before the dumb internet came around and turned everything into text string processing.

Lots of languages are C and C++-like. PHP is another. Perl, as much as I hate it, was basically C-like.

If you know C, you have the gateway to most other modern languages. I can't emphasize enough the value of knowing just straight, old fashioned C. That's why I think a plug-in framework that let you write the single sample process call in straight-C would be awesome. Even more so if you could edit the code and hear results in real-time, without needing to restart your host or even re-instantiate the plug-in.

What happened to this? Seems like a promising concept.

That's about Jesusonic (or short JSFX), not JavaScript.
