Taron wrote:Oh, I did vote, and I've enjoyed it quite a lot. There were songs in there that actually moved me. I'd imagine, it's because it's been my baby you've been using, but it really were those songs. It was difficult for me to put anyone down there, that's true, but as always, I've tried to make a reasonable, sensible call about which tracks resonated more with me, but also respect craftsmanship. Thus, I tried to vote as I always do. But, yeah, I was afraid it would be impossible for me, because I'd want all of you to get a 5 just for wrestling with my little beasty. :hihi:
As long as you gave me my 1 Taron. LOL.

You know this one is going to be a "wink" for you. You can be absolutely sure that this time around you won't get a "real" vote.

Thanks. Oh, and Peter and I have mended fences and all is good.

Congrats on a successful OSC. You should be very proud. I wouldn't even know where to begin to develop a synth.

Maybe one day you'll make my ultimate modular for me????

You can be 100% certain that I'll keep at it. My heart is in this along with my mind and I'm hungry to learn, explore and discover means to create freely, deliberately and with joy and wonder, too. With the digital paradigm, we've given us access to seemingly endless invention for anyone, who simply wills their way into these fields. I'm one of those, who storms into there, embracing the whole world of magic it offers with endless pleasure. The challenge will always be to make those discoveries accessible to others, yet, no matter how much feedback is given, one only has oneself as really reliable reference. Thus, there will always be those, who can relate to the ideas and those, who cannot. Part of that challenge therefore is always to increase the pool of people, who can relate, without losing your own integrity that was responsible for the invention in the first place. Thus it's always about understanding and integrating the given feedback, first into the mind of the developer and then into the code. Tough gig, honestly.

We shall see what's to come! :)

Very impressed with the variety and quality of the songs. Surprisingly few straight-ahead techno songs.

Just wanna say it's been a damn fun time over here doing this thing. Couldn't have asked for a better first go at the osc! But I'm thinkin I might not go again for a couple. Gotta be another something special with this kinda design and character to it you know? I mean you can just feel the love in lord of the strings and I don't get that from bigass commercial synths. Def shined up and showed off the good side of kvr. Breathe in that love man! Better than dope hahaha

So yea this synth was fun as f*ck and all these kickass peeps came together to make awesome shit with it. Glad I could join in and make it do a thing even in the rough shitty unfinished way I always leave my passion projects haha. Gonna toast a couple to taron and the rest. Thanks all

Few tracks deserve more than 5 points :tu: .

For those who ask why I switch my entry, well answer is simple: because I can :D . I just challenge myself to make drums only track for a change and it is harder as I thought (I kind of failed  ). I'm not here to get points but to learn and to have fun. LotS is great for drums so I took advantage of it. Most synth require heavy compression and freq boost with EQ but LotS NOT :tu: .

As I said there are some out this world tracks and my really favorite are Mass and star trails. From what I hear every one have hard battle with resonance in LotS and some of you win this battle.

To Frostline: Nice track but the bassline is little overbased - hard to enjoy this track because of that.

Uh and soundcloud still doesnt like me. I have tryied to add comments but they again disappeared. No matter what browser I use comments are here only till I close browser. After reopening nothing here :x

It was a pleasure to explore LOTS, I think I have a hundred presets right now - should think about making a soundset :)

Thanks again Taron for a great synth!

Just happened to me this very minute - then I saw I was not actually logged in. My automatic login just stopped. Once I had logged again, comments would stick (of course!).

Just make doubly sure you are actually logged in because as far as I was concerned everything looked just the same as usual!

I doubt this is your problem - but ... you never know.

When I left comments a few days ago, it happened to me several times while I was logged in...so...there's something funky going on an SC.

@Julian: THANKS, you're very welcome, too! I'd love to check out a soundset you'd put together!!! :)

Great! Will have more free time since September, so I'm really going to dive in this soundset. Will let you know, of course

Might be an idea to gather presets from everyone and make an OSC sound set. Presets are so important to synth adoption.

Comments on Soundcloud of late have been very wonky. I left a comment on my own track that didn't show up for quite a while.

I'm sure they'll get it sorted out.

Not the best month considering all tracks — seems a lot of you couldn't bring LotS fully to life. But then there is the triumvirate of DoctorBob, The Five Assed Monkey and Jovexli who all three understood the true nature of the springs and made some really classic tracks.
A pity I could not participate.

You really, really can't mention names without listing at least zarf in there, too. He took LotS and allowed it to be fully itself. I really don't normally do that, like pushing anybody's name before the voting is over, but danged... first time I had my eyes water a wee bit, listening to the OSC tracks. :)
