I finally got everything setup and have tested the JBL LSR305. Amazing! I've never heard anything this big before. My case may be unique because I originally bought these so-called champagne glass speakers for my old Dell computer all the way back in 2002 which I still use to this day on my laptop and have never once since all those years ago upgraded to anything else until today. I can only imagine how much bigger the sound gets with 7" or even larger monitors. In any case, it's great hearing so much more fidelity in tracks I've known for a long time now.
I'd definitely recommend them to anyone starting out looking for great sound. I can hear that hissing in the background when the speakers are doing nothing as some reviews have pointed out, but I've honestly heard those with these old 2002 speakers for ages now and I've learned to tune it out. Nothing that most other speakers don't do in my experience, so it wasn't a determent in buying them and now owning them it still isn't.
It's going to be hard not wanting to listen to other people's tracks through these things since everything sounds so new now, but I'm gonna be moving ahead with trying to do my own music with them now. Wish me luck!
