Is it possible that a pair of speakers is deficient ?

Hi, I wonder if monitors could have a loss of frequencies by being deficient ?

I heard about speakers blowing, making noise, but basically could it happen that a high frequencies loss comes after speakers have been damaged ?
Could the sound being affected ? And if yes, by what ?

Thanks, I have no knowledge at all in this area.

HF drivers either work or they don't. If you hear a sound they're working fine... unless they're damaged by fingers which have pushed the domes in to the magnet, which you'd spot straight away.

Did you not try the speakers out first before you bought them?

Your problem is probably two things. You being used to some extra top end from your old speakers and your new speakers being incorrectly set up in a dull sounding room.

How many more threads are we gonna have about these speakers? There must be half a dozen by now. Its gone from a complaint the speakers were rubbish, to resetting the eqs, to thinking the op's hearing is damaged, to frequency graphs, to now wondering if the speakers are damaged. :dog:

My hearing is normal.
I made a test as some people here claims that I had a very bad hearing.

Here is the result : https://www.noelshack.com/2017-27-5-149 ... earing.png

You are probably right. I used Rokit 6 G3 before, and they are known for their "crystal sounding high" wich means their highs are flattered.
