VIP 2 not showing all patches

I have an Alesis VX49 with VIP 2 (or 2.1) installed. I did the scan and it found my vst's just fine. In the VIP manager, it shows the plugins with lots of patches. But when I go to the main screen, the VSTs show, but the number of patches is almost always "1". Korg synths load with a fair number, but everything else, including Hybrid and Loom, show with 1. So looks like it finds the patches in the search, but doesn't report them in the main screen. Support out there is minimal. Any ideas?

Go to Settings,Plugin Manager, Make sure correct path is chosen where your vst folder is, also make sure the vsts u want are selected, with the check box, Click Scan, Next find the plugin map icon, click it, download the plugin maps. This will import your vst patches. Takes some time depending on how many vsts u have in the folder..

So I have to download each of the plugin maps? I thought it was automatic...that said, I did try that, and when I click the little download icon, it turns into an X with a circle around it. The path for the folder is correct, and it did find all my plugins. I selected 20 or so to show on my main page, they show, but very few patches/presets.
Thanks for your help!

In my quick test.. after scanning my VST folder.
Hybrid should default to 2272 patches
Loom 417
Vacuum Pro 484
Xpand2 2469
Not sure what else could be the problem, I'm on version 2.2.1, hope you get it sorted, worst come to worst, maybe a reinstall will help.

Yes, those numbers align with what it shows for patches for those vsts...in plugin manager. But in the main browser, they are just not populating for some reason. Ok, I think you are right, need to reinstall. Wish there was a way to just "reset" and reimport the plugins. Tried changing the folder names for where the vsts are located, but it still remembers.
One of the items that shows more than 1 patch is the EightyEight piano; it shows 103. Note that I installed that AFTER my initial run. So it appears to have picked that up fine (unless you tell me there are actually a different number of patches for that). I think the initial run must have been corrupted.
I tried something...I changed the user map location to be the folder with the actual stock VIP maps...that changed the download icons (for all the instruments for which there are maps) in the plugin manager to be check marks. But it still isn't reflecting in the main browser, so can't use them.
Interesting you are on 2.2.1...sounds like you are not on the Alesis...but still, you'd think they would all be the same given it's all the same company using VIP. The only place I can find to download the software is in My Products on the Alesis site...which has 2.1 only.

Was concerned about reinstalling as there are several packages with similar file names, but ultimately found something on the Akai forums. I uninstalled just the VIP software (not the VIP authorizer or other items), and reinstalled just the VIP_win.exe file in a subfolder of the overall VIP software package. Should be all set now, even though I haven't yet hooked the keyboard up since fixing. Anyway, looks good now!
