Extending Kontact Pitch Bend Range

I know that this is an old topic.

I only just now bought the Kontact 5 upgrade for just this reason. I used the edit "all groups" function and added a couple of pitch bend moderators, yet the amount of pitch bend remains exactly the same as with no moderators added. I'm sure that I have neglected a step, but from the comments I've seen, I haven't a clue what that might be.

Any advice?

some things have been scripted so they will not respond to pitch wheel.

evidently some of the factory instruments allow no such possibility. I've def. encountered them.
