I don't have it, I mildly want it, I put chances of me getting it in a sale in the coming year at around 55%.
old or not, I have a soft spot for well-made synths. this thing features full automation control and proper values displayed for each param, something we still can't take for granted today.

Back when I was young (you kids get off my lawn!!!!!!!) we debated Sylenth all the time. In the end, most people that had did nothing with it (other than some whipersnappers that stole it! )
Dag nabbit, look what you did to my azaleas...........

Yes indeed it's a well made synth. It's from the best sound to CPU usage ratio synths as well.acYm wrote:

The GUI is excellent, especially with the new skins, and it makes using it a pleasure really.
The sound is really very nice. It has a nice character which I like a lot. It's no Diva (or any analogue emulation) neither Dune 2 (or other WT synths), but I prefer it this way, an easy to use and a great sounding VA
If I have to choose 2 synths that very light on CPU, they would be Sylenth1 and FM8 (especially for not fast CPU).
The very minor thing is the limitation of installing it on 2 computers, but the good thing is it's manageable online without the need to ask the support.
Still after months of purchasing it, I absolutely have no regrets buying it nor any plan to sell it
Using: Cubase Pro 15, Reason 13, Tascam US-4x4HR, MODX6, DM12D, LaunchKey 49, Yamaha guitar(Pacifica 612v) and bass (BB234) and some virtual instruments and synths.

Thanks.Echoes in the Attic wrote: No way. Sylenth1 is the best vintage analog emulation. It's also the best granular synth ever made.
I needed a good laugh.

I have tried the demo of Sylenth1 and i like the plugin, but i will not buy for several reasons !
1. The licensetransfer is joke especially for the second owner !
2. I'm not willing to pay 30€ EU BANKSTER GANGSTER VAT !

Sylenth1 is great for what it does, has a lot of punch (something most soft synths sorely lack...), and, overall, feels very round, without many obvious weaknesses. Thing is though, if i feel like diving deeper, i wouldn't touch it, simply because it lacks a lot of modulation options other similar synths have. And, i also still think that Spire has the edge over it, in terms of sound, while being very similar to Sylenth1's character (and the Virus, and JP-8k also). All in all, yeah, nice synth, but, frankly, i don't quite use it as much as my other go-to plugins. It probably still has the best supersaws of them all though. Closely followed by Spire.
The saturation in Sylenth1 sounds great too, not many soft synths can match that.

i had doubts about how it could justify 139 euro too,but when v.3 was released i couldn't resist to grab it,even borrow money for it - year later can't stop play with it - there is something about the character of it's sound and simplicity of programming that makes this thing so sweet

Funny thing is as more and more folks jump off the bandwagon I get more and more interested in the first classic software synth. You ain't gonna do anything new with it, it just sounds good.

Yes, except Sylenth uses 1/10 of the CPU! Still the best for sound quality/CPU ratio!chk071 wrote:i also still think that Spire has the edge over it, in terms of sound, while being very similar to Sylenth1's character

Yeah but this isn't a One Ping Only thread.Dasheesh wrote:Funny thing is as more and more folks jump off the bandwagon I get more and more interested in the first classic software synth. You ain't gonna do anything new with it, it just sounds good.
This is the same method MJ used when he was working on Anthony Marinelli's Thriller.
