A few days ago, when I hit the play button on any SC widget player, it does not play. Everything behaves normally except the counter remains at zero and doesn't play. It's something at my end with this notebook PC.
Everything is up to date.
I posted this to SC community...waiting for review.
Youtube widget works Flash and HTML.

Have you rebooted since this happened? I occasionally see this with Chrome/Win7

I have Tim. Same thing over @ Ambientonline.
It's not a CPU clip freeze...it just sits there at zero. I can advance the position and the counter reflects it...but no play/motion.
I checked everything I can think of.
I don't use but a few addons/extensions. I disabled those with no change.

I'm only running FF on this PC.
No one else i've seen have this problem.

EDIT - I haven't installed anything recently. I don't visit sites where I could pick up something. I'm running AVG.(have turned AVG off w/no change)
All I can guess, my HD is full. I need to burn saved radio shows to gain space. The virtual memory is suspect because of the full drive, but I don't know.

I once had a problem with Chrome upgrade. I couldn't play anything for almost a week, and then another update came along and every thing started working again.

Does it also fail from the Soundcloud website (as opposed to embedded tracks at other sites)?

All is fine at the SC site. Youtube widgets are fine also.

It's only the widget...but both KvR and Ambientonline both fail. Weird.

just reading it...10months back...don't have VLC player(anything) but that's maybe a clue. I haven't yet looked to Mozella FF for answers.

I don't use Firefox on Windows so I don't really know. Which version of Firefox are you running? Is it set to auto-update? Was version 52 or later installed on your machine recently?

Thanks for looking at that.
I manually updated FF from one ver. previous to the present ver.
The player was failing before the recent update. So no change.
I read that DRM stuff. It doesn't seem to be involved. I think it's HTML5 only...but I'm not sure about that. Anyway, it should give me a notification I think, if there;s a prob.

Hitting play on the widget sends out a 'ready to receive' packet,(it appears) but nothing is sent back in the network.

Soundcloud widget will not play
