I noticed earlier this year that Novation would release 4 and 5 octave versions of their Remote 25. It was supposed to be released this March.

Has anyone heard anything about this? The Novation site doesn´t give much clarification.

Yeah, and are there going to be Audio versions of these as well? I'd stand on my head and fart ping-pong balls for a Remote 61 Audio. Especially if it came with the K-Station engine, V-Station, and Bass-station plugs! :o :-o

I was inquring the same thing as well, so I emailed them for it.

This is their reply....

"$1129 U.S. Dollar retail for the X-Station 61

$1249 U.S. Dollar retail for the X-Station 61 Studio (keyboard w/ software bundle)

Shipping in June. They have dropped the name “Audio Xtreme” as X-Station is just plain cooler. Please hound a dealer close to you and pass along our number: 727.786.8777. We are JUST setting up dealers in Canada now."

Thanks for the heads up!

What software is included with the studio package?

Is the K-Station engine going to be a part of the 61 key controller like it is in the Remote 25 Audio Xtreme?

What's the official name of these packages and controllers? (ie, Remote 61 X-Station, X-Station 61, X-Station 61, etc)

Also are they going to be making non-Audio versions, and if so, how does this affect the name of the product?

When is this due to hit the States?

Do you have any dealers set up in the States? If so, where?

I asked the same question...well, almost...here's the reply from them.

"It is Cubase SE (which is a slimed down SX1) – it is it’s own product sold in stores for $149.

Novation Live is in there with a coupon to et the full blown Ableton Live later.

Steinberg Grand SE, haven’t played with that yet, but it is the light version of the current Steinberg Grand now out.

And finally, the V-Station which is a the full-blown software synth of the KS series synths by Novation ($399 retail)."

What about the names and is the K-Station engine going to be installed on the Audio versions? Are they going to make Audio versions?

I'm interested too as i think they will be a big hit for Novation. I am going to get one of the non-audio controllers as i don't like USB v1 with audio. As far as i have senn, It is the only controller with after-touch too.

To be honest, I'm not sure. I got it from a friend who I play a game called Asheron's Call with, and it's his signature on the message boards. Thought it fit quite well for here. I'm pretty confident that it is, but since I haven't investigated it personally, I couldn't garuntee that it's authentic or not.

I´m looking for the keyboards without the software. Any word (availability, price, etc)?

They're due for the end of october, according to Novation/Focusrite.

They answered my mail extremely fast, BTW.

there is a review of the x-station 25 in the magazine "keyboard" this month. they updated the audio engine from the k series. they also included midi controller templates for softsynths like b4. it doesn't come with a vocoder like the k series though. they don't have pitchbend or mod wheels though. they have a joystick and a pad for modulation.

The X-Station is reviewed in this month's Future Music.

sorry to continue this OT'ing, but AFAIK it's not certain where the quote originally came from. I read this on a page somewhere.
One of the theories, the one that I for one could easily trust, was that it was originally introduced by a (british?) comedian. If it really is by a Nintendo employee, I'm amazed and think he should consider a career in comedy.
