I have something like that going on too, in Chrome, both at work and at home. It renders fine, but clicking play doesn't actually play. It just started in the last week or so.

That's it foosnark. This is really odd. Seems only a few are affected...you and me. :lol: :cry:
Many had similar probs 2 months back with Soundcloud Go - mobile app. but that's no help. A common thread seems to be licensing DRM and this CRM plugin or maybe Flash vs. HTML5 players. It's all kinda confusing. :dog:
- Have a look at this for Chrome and DRM;

- and HTML5 player

EDIT - I can play Flash or HTML5 Youtube player.
Disabled Adobe Flash within Firefox and the SC widget is still there, so I guess it is HTML5 now? Used to be Adobe Flash as default. I'm confused. :pray:

UPDATE - widget plays in IE 11.0 but not FF on this PC.
I just installed 18 optional win7 updates, reinstalled Java, cleared 4 gigs of new space on full HD, set virtual memory to 2230MB, reset Firefox auto cache management, disabled all Flash within FF, disabled Adblock Plus, disabled AVG antivirus.

I still can't play a SC widget!!! WTF.
WHY??? WHY??? WHY???

Did a Firefox 'Reset' and that fixed it.
That made a big mess now I have to assemble all my crap!

I suspect it was a plugin called 'Speed dial'.
It's a Google/Chrome plug that used to play nice with FF...but no more I suspect.
(EDIT - I reinstalled it and no probs yet. Reinstalled Adblock Plus too. Adobe Flash is still running.)
