Here is the info:
Originally modeled after 30 kind of most sought-after distortion, overdrive, and fuzz FX pedals. We picked the best of them, then narrow down all of them into these devices: DS3603, FZ3603, and OD3603. All the varying parameters are streamlined into a uniform 3 knob parameters plus 1 dry-wet knob, to cover every tone which are essentials for any guitarists (even synth-players).
This first series of EFEKTOR will feature four designed and modeled after legendary distortion, fuzz, and overdrive effect pedals which shapes the diverse sound of Rock music across different genre and era: DS3603 Distortion, FZ3603 Fuzz, and OD3603 Overdrive. Each will pack 5 different effect models to cover various tonal characteristics sought-after by guitarists.
Kuassa also releases EFEKTOR Silencer, a noise gate effect which always comes standard in every Amplifikation Series, improved and released for FREE as an individual plugin for your convenience.
And here is the fuzzes demo:

I don't get on with any sort of fuzz so can't comment on that one, but the distortion and the overdrive plugins are awesome. The DS is the first guitar distortion plugin I think I've ever tried which retains the clarity, attack and tone of the guitar, with tons of distortion and no annoying hiss or anything. Really impressive.
Any idea how long the intro price is going to last? $19 per pedal is very good.

spent almost two hours with the demo. man those are cool. i would've wished fuzz pedals had "gated fuzz" too, but i can combine fuzz pedal with Silencer to get that sort of sound, so no biggie. i was skeptical of the distortion pedals as I would've preferred for them to have more flexibility (like more EQ knobs), but again, not too big of a problem as different modes provide lots of variety, and they sound great - so my fears were unfounded. ended up buying the whole set.
I don't know what to write here that won't be censored, as I can only speak in profanity.

My typical use of Kuassa's Efektor Heavy Distortion as a guitar signal enhancer - solo shaping tool. This is how I get my rock lead or just higher-distortion sound most of the time!
Sorry for the high gating,
The Seymour Duncan Custom Staggered SSL-5 Single-Coil 7-String Is a true single coil and it gets a lot of noise in this kind of guitar tone. But works great in a full mix

If you dig more about each of the fx type on every device, you can somehow correlate them with the actual hardware that we are using to model the DSP algorithm.
For example, Heavy Distortion is a type of distortion which commonly used by guitarists during the glory days of Heavy Metal genre, but, we decided not to directly named it after the actual device due to some optimizations to the modeled fx compared with the actual hardware because it's not 1:1 exact replica, tone-wise.
It's true that during the research we modeled many-many kind of effect pedals, and at some point, found some similarities between them except some differences in parameter values, then narrow them with some optimizations so basically our Efektors can cover most of the available pedals out there.
Let's say the modeled FX types is our interpretations of the exact hardware, or more likely, inspired by hardware stompboxes available in the market.

i don't think i even care what pedals were modeled. you learn the stomps, and you go for the sounds instead of the names. for example, the "Pro" mode in the DS3603 lets through a lot of pick attack, so if you're lacking that, this is the mode to use. the "Boutique" mode in OD3603 is probably my favorite as it's so mellow and cuts the low end very well, unlike, say, "Mad" mode, which is much more "boomy" and would be a good fit if your amp sounds a bit thin. so just learn them - i don't know which particular pedals those modes were modeled after, and i don't really care.
that said, some of the stomps are more recognizable than others - for example, the "Heavy" mode in the DS3603 is most likely one of the BOSS pedals (DS1 i think?), with its famously crap sound of maxed out tone knob, while the "Blues" mode in the OD3603 is probably the Marshall Blues Breaker.
still wish distortion pedals had EQ knobs though!
