I am very happy to announce that the pack is released

3,089 samples (1.21 GB) from 10 Public Domain Comedy movies, including 5 horror ones. They date from 1931 to 1973. Samples are organized in 5 categories/ folders like the previous packs:
FX - sound effects, foleys, various noises (354 samples - 98 MB)
Music (218 samples - 288 MB)
Speech Female_Kids (469 samples - 108 MB)
Speech Male (1515 samples - 347 MB)
Hybrids - in this folder, I regrouped samples that feature 2 or more sounds of the 4 above folders.
For instance someone speaking with some background noise and/or music, or music with background sfx.
(533 samples - 406 MB)

These are great. I've been brainstorming a new musical project which could really use a lot of this stuff. Just out of curiosity, where are you getting these movies from? Are these public domain movies redistributed on DVD, or archive.org, or...?

Zvon, I'm sure will answer, [EDIT/text removed* Zvon answered below] but because there's always someone new reading that statement (not direacted at you deastman), these are not just simply cut up audio samples, but they are extensively cleaned up ("restored" as much as can be), organized based on dialogue/content type (music, fx, male, female, mixed, etc...) named based on contained dialogue (which is helpful for quickly sifting through the content) and comes with an excel spread sheet which is also useful for searching text to find specific spoken words.

It would be an exhaustive undertaking, so I love each of these releases!

My only wish is that the movies/clips/videos used would also be named because that would be great for creating video projects without needing to sift through all the content on archive.org (which is a task in itself).

Both actually, I have a bit over 100 ones on DVD and of course the Internet Archive has a lot more. In some packs I used more from from DVDs and in others more from the Archive.

One of the reasons why it took longer than expected is that it's going to be the biggest pack yet with over 3000 samples from 10 movies
