I need some advice. I am about to move into a new house that has a small utility room in the back yard. It has a window AC unit, so it won't get too hot, its well insulated and the size is great for a recording room. ...
I'm worried about: leaving my equipment out there (guitars, computers), and the fact that I will have to run the window unit all of the time in the summer and the room will get cold in the winter. Maybe I should just use it to record vocals, and make my recording setup as mobile as possible?
Any advice? Do others have recording sheds in their backyards?

security is your call but for goodness sakes grow a cat claw vine or somethig over it to keep it cool in the summer.
