It's finally here!
This looks like so much fun, can't wait to use it. Curious about what that little reddish circle button next to the Position knob does though.. or maybe it's an LED?

AWESOME! This pushes the whole thing to another level! Slowly you are reaching your initial slogan: "the last synths you'll ever need"

That would be when sfz and other sample formats import is added to the features. For now, the sampling section is of low usage.Warehouseparty wrote:AWESOME! This pushes the whole thing to another level! Slowly you are reaching your initial slogan: "the last synths you'll ever need"![]()

And importing multi samples is terrible.
You cannot alter the wave form also, like normalize or other basic sampling stuff.
Also the drum part should have import and export functionality.
Granular is nice, but for a certain public.
But maybe it's intended that way do only selected users and sound designers can create good expansions?

Granular is far more useful 'to me' than sfz import, I want synthesis, not sample playback/mapping- there are many other instruments that are built around sample playback and manipulation- I use Kontact, Falcon and Halion 6- all of these take (sfz) sample import, manipulation and playback but are far more complex and have a much steeper learning curve than Avenger (which is fast and easy to use with everything pretty much on one page).godly wrote:That would be when sfz import is added to the features. Thx Slic, yes that's why I shouw want some basic sample functionality in Avenger, I don't need 20 synth, I want 1 good, the last synth you'll ever need you know
Imagine the possibilities of larger libraries, not only synthesis but also allround sounds.
Yes, I know Avenger is focused on the Dance scene. But that doesn't mean it's a great synth to use for rock or pop stuff, right?

Avenger was built as a synth, not a sampler. I think you run better with Kontakt if you want to manager your entire multisample library. The majority of our users do not care about mass importing samples at all.
while sfz is on the list, it has absolutely no priority and (maybe) will never come. Sorry, but just want to be honest.

@godly: Actually sampling is not what I care for in a synth. Avenger will never be a sampler like Kontakt I think. But for a synth granular is far more important than sfz. What is missing for a synth (as far I can tell) is a proper FM section. Comparing it to FM8 there is room for improvement I think. But for now I am quite happy with the stuff it can do, especially after seeing the granular stuff!

Seeing as you can import your own samples into Avenger why couldn't you use the granular engine in it .wagtunes wrote:One Word: Awesomemsvs wrote:first granular video
