thats already possible, even its not in the videoPlease please introduce the ability to play back the sample from the position selected by the mouse INSIDE the waveform, and also simultaneously select the width of the playback by click and hold and sliding the mouse up and down. This will make it super easy and creative to be able to select exactly where you want to play from and the length. Using this visual method, rather than turning a dial or mod wheel will make granular synthesis playback much more intuitive, specific, creative and musical.

Great to hear. If the moves can be automated, even better.msvs wrote:thats already possible, even its not in the videoPlease please introduce the ability to play back the sample from the position selected by the mouse INSIDE the waveform, and also simultaneously select the width of the playback by click and hold and sliding the mouse up and down. Finally made the plunge and purchased this puppy.
Initially, I thought it could replace several of my existing VSTs - Massive, Serum, Spire .. but through the course of migrating an existing song to Avenger, I don't think this will be the case.
Spire - I think it has the most overlap feature and sound-wise, although some of Spire's effects and Filters still sound better IMO.
Serum - The basic wavetables sound identical, however Serum has a few different warping algorithms, and a better variety of filters. The multiband compressor can't be matched in Avenger, and I find the Avenger Amp Release drops off very quickly. Ultimately, it seems I can get a fatter sound from it.
Massive - Massive still sounds great in a mix, perfect for layering with Avenger as the sounds aren't overly harsh.
I'm sure I will continue to discover more the Avenger way of doing things, but it is not yet a one-stop shop for me. It sounds great, but a bit thin for some of the sounds I'm imagining, and tends to dominate the mix.

Manuel, I'm not sure it was already picked up on and I missed it, but I assume you can use any source for the granular engine? Watching the (great) videos, it looks like granular is enabled by default whenever you load something from the granular category in the osc browser, but I'm guessing can this be turned on manually for any other sources?
