double clicking on the category (left collumn) "granular" opens and empty granular. You can drag / drop your own samples there

You can override an amp's envelope by using a mod env as the external source. This way you can make envelopes up to ~13 minutes long when set to the max length and slowest speed. That should be enough for your needsgeneraldiomedes wrote:I find the Avenger Amp Release drops off very quickly

+ you can bend the normal Release upwards if the normal default curve is not enough

A little maths..
Thanks for the video.
I wasn't far off, aside from its actual functionmagickalmutagen wrote:Curious about what that little reddish circle button next to the Position knob does though.. or maybe it's an LED?

Thanks .. ! I don't need 13 minutes lol .. but I just need it to last longer than the Amp provides. Even at full release it drops to 0db *well* before the stated release time is up (like 20% of the way).magickalmutagen wrote:You can override an amp's envelope by using a mod env as the external source. like I said, DONT BEND IT DOWNWARDS, leave the inner ring in the center position or even bended upwards. Thanks .. ! And it does not drop do 0db: Put a heavy compressor FX in the fx chain to hear the truth.
Please read the amp envelope section in the manual for more details.

Maybe an idea to have the amp envelope release time set to linear by default in the init patch

@msvs
Sorry to de-focus the discussion from the 1.2 update for a moment,
Is it somehow planned to support MPE at a certain point? is it technically feasible?
I've seen this has been asked before but I did not find any official reply from you.
Sorry in case it has been answered already and I've missed it.
Also is there an "official" and more organized way to send Feature Request other than dropping thoughts here?
I know there is a quite active German forum (which is like chinese to me unfortunately) so I wonder whether FR poll already exists somewhere.

thats actually the case... did you setup in the SYS Page / Content, that the correct Default init preset is loaded? Its located in your Avenger XP \ expansions \ Factory \ presets \ default.avprMaybe an idea to have the amp envelope release time set to linear by default in the init patch
Please set this up in your SYS Page
regarding "MPE". This is not planned, sorry.

The reason for my comment about the release envl. is that it's not the first time someone is asking into the "too short" release time.msvs wrote:thats actually the case... did you setup in the SYS Page / Content, that the correct Default init preset is loaded? What i mean by default is the way Avenger should come the first time you open it, before any personal change in the init patch.
In the beginning i grabbed the release exponential knob quite often, to get a longer and smooth release time for pads, before changing the init patch.
So just a hint to change the init patch to linear mode in the default Avenger, to avoid more questions about too short release time

Ohh, i think i misunderstood your answer the first time...msvs wrote:thats actually the case... did you setup in the SYS Page / Content, that the correct Default init preset is loaded? For me Avenger did not open with Amp release envelope in linear mode, and never did before i changed the init patch to linear mode.

Be aware though, concave decay and release curves tend to sound more natural to the ear than linear/convex ones.

Agreed. Concave curves is preferable in most cases.magickalmutagen wrote:Be aware though, concave decay and release curves tend to sound more natural to the ear than linear/convex ones.
