Übermod a lot more flexible/versatile, several different algorithms, distortion, EQ, etc. but max 32taps and no preset morphing

UltraTap max 64 taps, morphing a la Blackhole, simple (single page/tab) GUI
Different enough to buy both

That everyone has to decide for herself/himself.

This might in any case be the only plugin that offers up to 64 taps (not sure about that though) - how relevant that however is I don't know...

Prima Delay by NuSofting does up to 128 taps, but its not been ported to 64-bit.
An idiot on Set Theory:
"In some cases there is an object called red that contains everything that is red. In much the same way a pot is a plate."

GRM Delays has up to 128 taps, with morphing and control over the spread, swell and randomisation of the tap points. But, realistically, once you get past around 20 it's an SFX tool more than anything: "Yay, bouncing balls!"

Dangit, I knew in the back of my head that there was another one.

It's not the first thing I think of when delays are mentioned - but for stupid numbers of taps...

Post

More taps are useful mostly for reverb and chorus types of sounds.
No signature here!

Frankly to say, uncertain feeling. As if there is some lack of feedback knob (for completeness as a delay), as well as he turned out to be far from the reverb, as it seemed to me after short test. Though, there is some interesting moments, perhaps need more dig a bit.

The swell/gate feature is nice, but achievable with other delays and FX on a send.

Ah, I see - thanks to both of you for the heads up... :-)

Yes, there is feeling that it's can be pretty interesting for cover spatial\short\inverse variations, in sends tasks. But frankly to say, there was hope for another variation on the black hole topic, not a less :D  .
(though gate character appreciated too)

Gosh - that guy talks like Lars Ulrich!

Had a quick play with UltraTap and so far I really dig it! I'm still on the fence about purchasing though.
