Remember the video you uploaded? The same way i did it. If you had changed the S1's vu meter to - 12 db, then it would have matched with other two vu plugins (hornet and vumt)- the arrows would hit the same number at the panel.

Btw, where i can find your kvr marks?

I remember myself as the TROLLED person who DARED buy this second-hand. The only reason I'm posting is IS there anything new I should be getting/download wise?

What are KVR Marks?

Post

I'm not sure if I'm being played for a fool here, if this is a language barrier or something else...

How often do I have to tell you this?!

1) I am NOT the uploader of this video (thomas911 on GearSlutz), I just found the link

2) I do NOT have Studio One, and the Studio One VU Extension doesn't work in other hosts. I am using Cubase and Wavelab.

3) therefore, I can NOT tell you what this plugin is doing, or how to set it up!

From the video alone, the Plugin is offset by several dB and runs faster than VUMT. This is evident with the drum loop and the attack heavy electric guitar. In this video, Studio One VU Meter at this setting looks like it is working as a PPM (Peak Program Meter, measures maximum signal strength!) and not a VU (measures average signal strength!).

Finally understand that, please!

Hornet VU Meter has a different algo (not aimed to simulate a needle!) that changed throughout time (initial versions also had an offset). The video shows v3.0.1 - the Hornet VUMeter is currently at version 3.0.3 and got smoothed out to be closer to the most accurate of the three VU's in this video: VUMT v1(!).

I hope you finally understand that - I will NOT repeat myself.
Also - please learn the difference between Digital Meter, PPM and VU Meter.

Top right of KVR Audio, looks like a round target. Click on that - there you can mark certain posts you like/participated in and either keep them to yourself, or make them public

Other than Maintenance Updates (from February 2017, to v1.1.1), there is currently nothing new.

Cheers, found it, but don't understand why you were plugging this feature?

Sorry, still don't really understand what/how this KVR Marks thing works. First I've heard about it today. I thought it was just a bookmark thing for individual users, but how do you access other people's then?

I'd like to know, too...

I'm not sure anymore if phpbb stored this on the user info page. But I do remember that you have to first select certain bookmarks to go public, then you get a specific link to share. Hence... the link in my signature.

I have signatures turned off on every forum I'm a member of, that might explain things...

Click on compyfox's name above, then on KvRmarks in his signature and you should see them all.
DarkStar, ... Interesting, if true

Doesn't work at least for me ....

*sigh* To stop this OT stuff:
my KVR Marks

My user ID number is 9761, if you go to the top right and create at least one public KVR Mark to show up, then you get an URL that looks like this if you click "view KVR Mark"

Code: Select all

https://www.kvraudio.com/kvrmarks.php?u=<nr>
Insert my number, and you'll land on my page. Why this was NOT implemented in the forum so far, and why people think that turning off signatures is a general good thing (we have strict rules!) lies beyond me - but okay.

Can we now get back to talking about the Klanghelm plugins?

*sigh* (See, I can do that too!)

Dude, if you'd just posted that link in the first place...

You should change your name to:
